Yes, he should only be able to do Up+B > Down-air once and then go into free-fall like his other aerial cancels.

I like Lloyd combo potential. These plenty of room for unique and creative strings with him.

I don't like how he's an auto-combo character with far too easy strings to perform. He ignores most forms of DI or just has such a large window for follow-up that no amount will confuse even a basic Lloyd player.

Haha so true. Alot of the basic Lloyd players are sorta brain-dead and will just go with whatever they want and won't get confused by whatever you do.

Lloyd vs. Falcon anyone? N95 3 stocks me almost every game. I feel like a stand a better chance in the Falcon vs. Naruto matchup, and that's saying something. I get comboed hard, dead most times when I'm offstage, and the neutral games feels impossible to win with the combination of grave blade + demon fangs.

I'm forced to approach due to pressure from projectiles, and when I approach with nair I either get shieldgrabbed or the opponent dodges and resets to neutral. I try and mixup my approaches by approaching with running shield, or full jump dair, but both options are unreliable and quite punishable.
Sonic thrust has massive range and is a disjoint (I think), which can also easily block my approach.

Should I just give up and go Marth or try and persevere? In the Marth matchup it's always pretty close, so I'm leaning towards going with Marth unless I'm doing something glaringly wrong.

Falcon has a somewhat difficult time with Lloyd with juggles and disjoints and whatnot, but I don't think it's too bad: Falcon gets pretty good combos when he lands hits. Sonic thrust and grave blade are punishable, so baiting one of those moves and then punishing works pretty well. I don't know a whole lot about the MU, but that's what I have to say about it.

Huh, so just today I learnt that you can cancel Tempest into Specials (The more you know), but unlike the Rising Falcon trick, you can't use Tiger Blade again. I wonder if that thing's going to be kept in Lloyd's gameplay

Yeah in the patch, its in the upcoming patch notes.

"Reworked Lloyd so that Lloyd players can not win with two attacks anymore"

sorry, the wording on that was kind of misleading. the "rework" is just an exaggerated balancing overhaul. gonna pull the notes down until we have the list 100% completed and checked over

When you do release the notes, if you change air/fall/fastfall/run/walk speeds or weights for characters, would you say which ones so that I don't have to check every character (and if you don't change that stuff then you don't need to say anything :P)

So, now that Lloyd got nerfed (No more Rising Falcon>Tiger Blade and Dash Attack not being stupid), I actually feel kinda fair playing him, though he definitely is screwed up after 70%, 90% of the times he won't be able to come back. And I'm fine with that, that how he was supposed to be designed since the beggining.

Thoughts?

dash attack isn't really a nerf imo. sets up perfectly for an uair string which is better than chaining dash attacks anyway. uair strings can easily lead to 60-80% of damage with an utilt, usmash or fair as a finisher.
nerfed recovery is nice tho.
all in all, still a very friendly character for new players, with an appropriate recovery.
