So, I don't know about other states or countries, but here in California, they attempt to scare prospective drivers with the dreaded accident education video. Red Asphalt is one of the most famous ones (it has several installments, from what I recall) for it's use of actual footage at the scene, showing the gore and everything. I'm throwing out a warning to the faint of heart and underage, while the video is grainy, you can still see the gore.

I remember seeing alot of videoes like this one in Driver's ED. Kinda made me scared to learn how to drive.
