I think it's a coincidence though since Ninty have learnt their lessons with the 3DS lanuch so Wii U will at least need a few 1st-party games for launch and it's already been some time since 3D Land was released so a 2D/3D mario game should be released(just like how SMG2 came a few months after NSMBWii).

Won't be buying NSMB2 it looks like a complete rehash of NSMBWii with coins, I'll likely buy NSMBU if they mabey detail the characters, color swaps, add Peach, and a regular colored Toad to the mix.

and im sure nsmbwii would technically be a rehash of the first with new items co-op and added things to stages i don't think nsmb's world is gonna change they will always have the same jungle, same desert, same first level grassland, and the same style castles

NSMBU seems to be changing that, well, not really.

Galaxy 2 actually improved something.. They added much more fun powerups and extras that you could somewhat tell apart from Galaxy 1.

NSMB2 hasn't improved anything. It imitates the raccoon powerup by making him a flying squirrel and then everything else is a gold version of the current powerups.

Gold/Blue Coins should NEVER be the main objective in a mario game unless its red coins. Trying to innovate Mario by making it easier for him to get more lives is like trying to innovate Halo by making Master Chief start off with a Rocket Launcher and as he progresses, theres an endless road of Rocket Launcher ammunition from start to end

Not buying any more NSMB, they are mediocre, unambitious, and look terribly boring with no real attention to detail.

The fact they sell so well only pisses me off moreso.
So yeah, I'll just enjoy 3D Land and anything else the Galaxy team craps out.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was actually pretty fun imo though.

I guess I'm the only one who's going to buy New Super Mario Bros. 2, then.

I don't know, if nothing else it'll be a fun casual game to kill a rainy day with.

NSMB isn't mediocre. Its actually fun. Only problem: It gets reworked without any real surprises

The first two titles are good (NSMB,NSMB:Wii) but the next two NSMB games isn't a huge demand.
and NSMB for the Wii U? Wouldn't a third Mario Galaxy game be better instead?

I can't just judge immediately so ill look further into NSMBu before i start bagging on it. Looks decent to be honest
But im not sure about NSMB2, seeing as its focused all on the golden coins rather than the level layout and platforming itself

Im getting it lol, i dont care, its a chance to play new Mario stages, even if there are no new powerups/gimmicks, the levels are still different.

I like this game.
