His ally had only assumed a stance. Fools, it was wiser if they attacked him at the same time, well, it was so much easier this way. He gosetsukon was already in position to block attacks, something the both of them failed to realise. He leapt forward as well, angling his weapon forward slight and hoping to catch the strange sword with the hooks on his weapon. For once the centipede has caught you, there will be no running from it. Still, all he had to do was make them lose their balance.

Rattigan didn't like the position he was in. No, he didn't like the position he was in at all. Perhaps the stranger didn't really mean to hurt them, but he obviously wasn't going to let them through either. That had left him with only one choice. Perhaps he had been too rash, but he didn't consider himself as such. If the only way to get through was to beat this guy, it was better to act quickly anyway. But then, perhaps they should have waited and talked it out, because things sure didn't look optimistic from where he stood. No, I'm sure standing on an unstable stalk of bamboo, leaning backwards and being pressed farther down with your sword locked in some other kind of strange weapon would have been daunting to anybody. If he didn't find a way out of this situation quickly, he would be a Rattigan-kabob in a matter of seconds. Rattigan hefted up his sheild and pressed it up against the multi-bladed gosetsukon, putting all of his weight forward in an attempt to regain his balance and disconcert his enemy at the same time.

The fool was caught in a precarious position now. Even with a shield coming up, it was time to show his opponent true horror that was the gosetsukon. He lightly pressed a hidden mechanism and his weapon broke into the sections as he caught the shield and fell backwards. He yanked the caught sword back, trying to wrench it free from his opponent. He had anticipated what would happen should he lose his balance from his present position. His opponent, maybe not, but it was better than nothing. The sword wasn't leaving is opponent's grasp any time soon, so he tried something making him pay dearly for it. The other end of gosetsukon swinging around to wrap his opponent in a deadly embrace. It was all about bringing his opponent down with him.

Shadow quickly run on a bamboo stick behind Rattigan to grab him in case if that bamboo thing is crazy enough to pull him down with him, He charges his blade with the energy of the wind and attempt to cut the gosetsukon's hand in half knowing that the katana are one of the swords that can cut through bamboo to make his pull weight go against him while he grabs Rattigan to stop him from falling as he stands in two bamboo sticks to try keep the balance of his weight, He knew that the gosetsukon won't stop or give up at this stage keeping a sharp look of his movements and taking a defensive stance.
