So I didn't know Pichu had been announced, definitely a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Oh, it's CERTAINLY interesting...

I'm honestly amazed at the (relatively) good reception people have giving Pichu following its announcement as a playable character at SSC 2017.

Then again, if its showing at SSC was any indication, it looks like it won't be rocking the bottom tier list this time around like in Melee.

So I wanted to ask a question on here for a dev. I wasn't sure about the other forums because I didn't want to get kicked or anything.
I read on here that the game's engine was made from scratch could someone possibly elaborate on that because I use unreal engine and am thinking about applying to be a dev if its not to late. Also if you could elaborate on how you've been thinking on how to bring this game to mobile seeing how most mobile phones you would need to have a dev kit with apple/play store license. You don't have to answer all of that, but it is something that I've been thinking about. Thanks in advance

But anyways, from scratch means from scratch. We did not use Unreal or Unity, where someone else has made a bunch of basic tools. Cleod9 literally made the engine himself, writing it in Flash. He might have been able to salvage from SSF1, but even in that case he made SSF1 from scratch.

As for ports to mobile, we have no plans to do so.

I am completely in love with SSF2.

The first time I played it (v0.9a) I was surprised already. A major upgrade from super smash flash. I ended up falling in love with Mario, so I mained him.
Then I stopped playing the game.
I started playing the game a few days after the Reveal for Smash Ultimate (Or, Sm5sh) I started getting into Yeah, Jam, Fury on Newgrounds, and when I scrolled down and saw Cleod9 I was immediately reminded of smash flash 2. I visited the website. The 2 in the logo looked different, but I didn't notice. Then I was caught off guard by the intro (The second time i've ever watched the Smash Flash 2 intro in full length). Booted it up and went to solo and a huge grin came across my face when I saw Classic Mode. Then I realized that the game was updated. I've been playing this and Sm4sh ever since.

For a simple flash game, it is quite incredible and extremely close to the Smash Bros series. And seeing characters like Goku and Bandana Dee (Characters who were popular with the smash ballot) brought a smile to my face. Especially Bandana Dee.

Although.....

My only issue is the fact that they replaced all of the Fire Emblem characters with anime characters.

And Cloud with Sora.

Other than that, this game is near flawless and I recommend trying it out (though if you are on this forum you've probably played the game more than once.

I want to upload an SSF2 replay to YouTube, though it won't let me. How can I do this?

The replay file is not actually a video file, it just saves characters, stages, potential behaviour of items/hazards and the like and all inputs. If you want to upload your replays, you need to watch them in the Vault and manually record them during that using a program like OBS.

Why did you nerf Homing Attack's range? Why did you nerf Sonic at all? He's already bottom tier.

Some characters I want in is Shadow, Vegeta, Waluigi, and Blade.

I also want to see Blade's final smash, I think Super Blade would be awesome.
