Take this from an actual Muslim. People who do that sort of stuff are people who believe that the only way to advance religion is through war. In an Islamic context, thats just plain wrong. Through my school Islamic lessons (on Islamic prophets and morals) there are a couple of basic trends that is morally part of the religion. 1: Belief in one god 2: Preaching religeon without violence (an exception to this was the Prophet Muhammad, where he received a revelation from God to fight back the disbelivers, in what is known as Jihad (holy war). About the second one, this is perceived as self-defence due to the disbelievers coming in full force to annihilate the Muslim community, even then, they were heavily outnumbered and seldom armed. This was also a special circumstance, as later, when the Prophet Muhammad conquered Mecca, he did so without any bloodshed, and the Muslim community invited everyone into Islam. Everyone, including the disbelievers (who had previously killed and maimed Muslims and removed them from the city for months with no food resource) were welcomed into the community if they wanted to. This is why Muslims are generally against the terrorist threat. It goes against the religion.
