Perhaps it is more enjoyable, it just separates them. That part doesn't work for me, since Sheik and Zelda are supposed to be the same you know? Two sides of the same coin...


Probably the controls that screw me up.

I think that's perfectly valid. I've had to change my current ssf2 setup a bit in order to give myself more control over my characters, but I would prefer to use a GC controller because it is so familiar.

I don't see why she need's that windbox.

I think it should really be a regular hitbox

Right now it can either gimp you out of nowhere, or get powersheilded and cause unavoidable death to Sheik

It is a regular hitbox. The windbox is just around it.

I think that the windbox is poor design and should be removed.

Vanish is fine. The hitbox is the least powerful that it's ever been in a Smash game and is nerfed from the previous version. It doesn't even have kill power anymore. The windbox really isn't that bad, but I wouldn't mind seeing it nerfed.
For other Sheik changes, F-air probably deserves a nerf to knockback as it hits way too hard for such a fast attack. It makes Sheik's combos and edgeguarding extremely scary and it's knockback should probably be reduced to be around B-air's.
I also think that B-throw should probably send opponents at a higher angle than it does now. Sheik doesn't really need a kill throw like that. I think it would work better if it sent opponents at a 15-30 degree angle upwards with the same knockback.
For buffs, all I want is for Side-B to be buffed in some way. Chain is really useless in this game, so I have a few ideas for buffs.
1. Make Chain a tether recovery like in Brawl and/or give it some type of onstage usage.
2. Change Side-B to Burst Grenade from Smash 4.
3. Change Side-B to Bouncing Fish from Smash 4.

That's all though. I absolutely adore how Sheik plays in this game and I hope that she doesn't change too much in future versions. Stay classy Sheik.

powershielding windbox is sudden death for sheik. Its also like the only windbox that can be used as a legit gimp option its redonkulous

I agree with Jaguar. I think vanish is fine and while powershielding it will take a stock it is really hard to predict where the wind is coming and when its coming so I think its fine the way it is.

But it really isn't.

This move while not only having a redicously strong windbox is just a complete disaster against someone with good timing. This is not a good move for gimping due to the insane risk, and while I dont think Sheik needs a great recovery, this is a rediculous risk for her trying to get back on stage. This move needs to be fixed for her sake, not for everyone elses.

I've been using sheik recently, and I have a slight question. In the latest tier list I could find (I know tier lists aren't everything, but it IS kinda weird) Sheik is in C tier, when I find her to be very fast and overwhelming, as her Melee counterpart. Her sliding utilts can combo into each other at low percents, and her fair has great kill potential...so like...why is she so low? O.o or has she been buffed since?

Sheik last demo had problems with the top tiers, and wasn't as good as she is this demo. I think her tier placement will be higher this time around, probably A tier or close.

I would assume so. She's insane x.x At least, from what I could see.

What's the deal with her up B though? I come back from playing SSB4, where her up B is SUPER strong, and this one just seems...weak? or rather, does it even have a hitbox? O.o

I just did a best 3 out of 5 match with the CPU. Was pretty good. But I did NOT know the CPU Fox was that good x.x

My controller messed up a couple times during the match, I think (if I run off the stage, you know why XD)

Any comments or critiques would be nice, since I've just started playin this game and it's quite a bit different, physics-wise, from Smash 4.

Dair is really really good for techchasing fastfallers, it seems to cover a couple of options at once cause the hitbox is out for so long.
it does a lot of damage too, and if they DI the right way it combos into a fair.
