I don't know much about AC, but I don't think it's completely impossible.

I think Nintendo could work out a moveset for an AC character. Look at Capcom and what they did with Phoenix Wright for UMVC3. xD

There it is. Suda 51 has voiced that he's fine with him in game, and with a good moveset, he could be a really great addition to the roster. So, for what its worth, if you want to see him in, sign it.

I'll be really disappointed if he's added.

They usually try to keep the cast diverse in both appearance and fighting style. Travis is a human, and he wields what is essentially a sword. Those roles are both covered by Fire Emblem already, and I don't think it would be a good choice to add another one.

AC character is impossible because Sakurai already said he didn't want to do it.

To be fair he also previously stated that SSB4 would never happen.

That was at a point when he was making Brawl but didn't want to be making Brawl. He's actually given reasoning for his AC decision and I can't see a situation where he'd consider that reasoning invalidated.

there was a quote where he said something along the lines of 'making brawl as if it were the last game' in reference to the dedication and quality of it etc, and the quote got misinterpreted and taken out of context and people thought he was saying that brawl WAS the last game.

I think that Travis Touchdown would be a nice addition despite the fact that there's already the roles filled by Fire Emblem characters. I'm doubting they would use his Rose Nasty, so assuming they use his Blood Berry, he'd probably use more uppercuts and such; I wouldn't see him being too strong on air-fighting.
