I've 2 questions here:
  • Is it possible to forbidde an usergroup user from creating new posts in some sections?
  • can you create a bot that automatically kicks someone out of a group after a period of time?

If those things are possible (and it's easy to do), then just make a new group called "newbie", in which people can't create new topics in every section of the forum (except the new users forum).

(yes, I'm aware TSON was the one who suggested this)

That's actually another thing I was wondering, if I could make a usergroup that isn't able to access a certain place. Anyone want to be a guinea pig for that? Just tell me a section you don't go in often.

I'd test it, I never go into the RP sections.

This could be specially usefull for kicking people out of sections...

for instance, if someone starts creating a lot of stupid topics in upcoming games, I can just kick them.

Let's not start making a usergroup for every darn section...

The idea would be creating a "kicked group" ... for example, if you starts being a pain in the a** in the pr' section, you'll be part of the "RP' section kicked group", and therefore, you won't be able to post in the RP' sections...

it was an idea man, nothing else. /:|

Lolol not for the Rp section, you need to be part of a usergroup to post there...
Well, it could be useful for some commonly used sections

Or just use their stupidity as a reason to warn them.

I concur with the usergroup idea.

As soon as a person registers, they should be put into the usergroup named "Ideas" (or whatever ones they shouldn't go into) and keep them their for a period of time. I do NOT agree with the post limit of 200 though. What if (a person like me) chills out in the Spam Section (getting no posts) therefore not be able to post ideas?
