Event: JASONGUY299's GENERAL STORE:

If you're going to head out and start a new life in the Promised Land, you're gonna have to stock up on supplies first. You and your team stop by at the nearest general store.
Inside you meet JasonGuy299, the owner of the general store. "Ah, you guys are heading for the Promised Land as well? Well, you're in luck; I provide some of the lowest prices on frontier goods you'll see as of right now! Here's a list of goods you probably should spend up on."

Oxen: $20.00
Set of Clothing: $10.00
Box of 20 Bullents: $2.00
Spare Wagon Wheel: $10.00
Spare Wagon Axle: $10.00
Spare Wagon Tounge: $10.00
Pound of Food: $0.20

"For a wagon your size," JasonGuy299 mentions, glancing at your team's wagon outside, "I'd get 6 oxen. I also suggest 800 pounds of food for a party of 4 - there's a discount on flour, sugar, bacon, and coffee, by the way! I'd also get 2 spare sets of clothing for each of you too. Those clothes on your back aren't going to stand up to the cold mountainous regions. And did I mention the rifle bullets? We sell them in boxes of 20 each." He reaches down and pulls out a tin box. Lifting the lids, you can see 20 .22 long rifle bullets in neat little rows. "And finally, you should ifnish off your order with spare wagon parts - I've heard much news about skeletons lying next to wagons with a broken wheel. Poor families must have been foolish not to get a spare!" He then walks through a door behind the counter, saying "If you need anything else, call me!"

You and your team members pull out their savings for the journey - $900. Now how to spend it wisely...? You know very well that what you buy is probably what your team will be running on for a 9 month journey...

(This decision is a Collaborative Desicion. The Captain makes the final decision, but the other team members are free to give their opinion on the situation.)

Oxen are required.

Bullets...we have a gun, correct?

I don't know how necessary clothing is (I don't even remember buying any in Oregon Trail), but it could be useful.

Spare parts would be a good idea, as long as we don't spend all of the money on them.

Food is definitely required.

What, no medicine? No oxen food? That sucks...

Let's see, $160 for 800 pounds of food, plus $120 for 6 oxen, plus $80 for 8 sets off clothing, that all adds up to $360. I'd also add at least 1 of each spare, so $360 plus $30 is a total of $390, leaving us $510 for extra food, extra spares, extra clothes, an extra ox or two, and of course, bullets.

...we DO have a gun, am I right?

All teams will carry a rifle.
Medicine may be found as a rare item which immediately cures an injury or disease.
Your oxen will graze on whatever's around. They're pretty hardy animals.
