When Takada and Mikami and Soichiro die, a Shinigami doesn't write their names in the notebook, buuuutttttt Ryuk said people who own the Notebook can only be killed by the Shinigami owner. I mean, look at Light.

I think you're talking about when they first met, right? He only said that he would be the one to write his name in the Death Note when the time came.
