Euphemia heard the kid's voice as she picked Rourky up and place him upon her shoulder, where he nestled himself upon her head. She turned to see him come around, and she ran out into the forest, gripping the sword to her chest tightly once again. "Rourky, where can we go now?" she asked, not expecting an answer. "I wonder where Jay is..."

Serene poked her head out from behind a tree, and spotted Eton. He was coming around, but she didn't feel like leaving her spot. She slumped down against the tree, and looked up to it's branches, trying to see how far they would go. What did she get herself into? It was as if she was cursed by Endoh's dead look.

J read little of his book, returnign it to it's place on his waist. He instead continued down the coastline, looking for a sign of a port town or village. Hopefully he coudl come across a cozy cottage. Maybe a good place to stay, with a nice woman and her family. Or even better, a single woman. He chuckled at his thoughts. "Ah, J...also the guy looking for love...that's all you do." he told himself, beating himself down playfully.

Leon looked down feeling the intense heat of the lava that was coming out. He couldn't help but wonder how rediculous this trap was. Spikes and then Lava. It seemed rediculous, a body disposal method perhaps? Either way, he needed to do something. Leon looked around looking for a way out. He pulled himself and Marion up higher on the chain.

"You've been here, is there anyway out of this?" He asked her hoping she may know.

Eton saw Euphemia run out into the woods, he didn't bother to say anything to her as she left. Eton looked about and found himself falling to one of his knees, cletching his wound as he felt a sharp pain.

"Serene." He muttered. "Where are you?" He coughed and closed his eyes tightly.

Once her lute was chopped clean in half, she sprinted for the wall and scrambled up wildly. Her heart had been left behind with her instrument, and it was in the same state cut in half and destroyed. Tears streamed down her face as she jumped down only to reveal another alleyway she'd have to run and find someplace to hide quickly.

Anna touched her eyeglasses "Oh these....they're some sort of magical spectacles" she said in her returned quiet demeanour. "And...I think" she swayed like a unstable tower "I need a rest" she fainted, due to the excess amount of energy she had to use that day. She still could not believe that she had managed to fight such a ferocious demon.

Rana's eyes widened, then he fell on his knees and caught Anna. Shadows sprung from his palms as he did so; he was too weak to catch a person by himself. The shadows faded and he laid Anna on the ground, then turned to look at Tekun. He hadn't seen her be hit by the demon, but there was a great deal of confusion during the fight and he was sure he had missed something. His eyes wandered to the glasses in her hand.

Serene heard Eton shout for her again, but she was too afraid to turn away from her spot. She just needed some time to rest, at least, she thought she did. "Eton, I'm fine, I'm just going to take a rest in these woods." she shouted out, just so Eton wouldn't worry for her sake. "He worries too much for me that he gets himself hurt unnecessarily. Sometimes, I don't agree with his judgment." she thought dozing off.

J walked along the coastline, making sure to look out for any people ahead. He continued to turn to the ocean though, always wanting to get a new look at it. "It's always changing, sometimes you have to stop and pay attention, so you don't miss anything important. It's just like reading a good novel..." he said rather loudly without realizing. He turned his head towards the path he was taking once again, and saw a merchant caravan moving along up ahead. He grinned with satisfaction and ran up to them, hoping to find some women there.

Tekun looked over to Anna. She had fainted and been caught by Rana, but she would probably be fine other wise. He couldn't help but smile. "Let's head back. No point in being out here yet. The inn should be safe."

"Serene. We're gonna head back to the inn, I'm tired of these f*** woods." He said alloud, somewhat relived. "Let's go, I promise you'll be safe. You have my word." He said.

The carvan was approaching, two oxes pulling the caravan. An older looking man on the carraige, besides it walked a strong looking mercenary, standing about six foot one with a combination of long blonde hair, a full beard and bright blue eyes. On his back a large iron sword.

Julius bit his lip nervously as the clerics finished up their treatment on Alice.

"Done." One said applying bandages now to it. "She'll be ok. I promise."

Julius gave a smile and kindly thanked the man. The inn keeper looked at Julius.

"Room's on me for tonight. You and your friends can take your pick. She needs a place to rest anyway."

Tania gasped when the girl fainted, but was relieved after Rana caught her. "Yes you two must be very tired let's go back to the inn" She helped Anna onto Windy's back, though she was slightly worried that the stains on Windy would rub onto Anna's robe. "Do you need a ride too?" she asked Tekun, worried that his legs would buckle underneath him as well. She held the reins in her hands ready to lead Windy back towards the vicinity of the inn, she would need to wash Windy as well.

Euphemia got to a safe distance from the inn to stop and take a breather. "Whew...at least we're okay..." she said, winded from the battle. "I thought I wouldn't have to deal with close combat like that earlier, but everything has it's purpose I guess..." She refused to think of Endoh, not wanting ideas of revenge to flair up. She met her match in the form of that kid, and didn't want to go back for another fight. "Come on Rourky, let's go find Jay!" she said to her hawk, who was still perched on her shoudler, as she began to run through the forest again.

Serene heard the last of Eton's words and stood up to walk over to him. As she neared him, she collapsed, as she was tired from the eventful day she had. She dreamt of being with her family back home in their large estate. Then a shadow-like force came in and disrupted their peace and harmony, killing her parents. She shivered at this thought, and she saw Endoh in her head, toying with her mind. Creating the perfect machine of destruction inside of her.
If he couldn't kill her, he'll torment her from the grave.

J caught up with the traveling caravan, and moved towards the muscular mercenary, since he looked most like the leader. He walked right beside the man, mallet resting upon his shoulder, and his novel in his other hand. He turned to the man. "Hello sir, you look like you're the one leading this caravan." he began, looking for women in the vicinity. "I was wondering if I could join up with you until we read the next port town."

The music hit a crescendo as Marion cried heavily. "Noooo... I don't want to die..." The lava rose steadily until it was inches from their feet. The end was near for the three of them. Surely, he hadn't expected death by molten rock.

The music slowed to a crawl as the danger passed. Violet was now luteless and alone and the boy was nowhere to be seen; to top it all off, the sun was beating down on her much more harshly. Apparently, karma wasn't siding with her this day. The only ways out of the alley were the way she came over the wall or the street ahead of her.

Leon started to think as he tried to get himself up higher. He began to kick at the wall, there needed to be something. Something to stop this, he couldn't allow everyone to die. He gripped Marion tighter then he did before.

"God damn it! This is not my day!" He yelled. He looked around. "Where's that music coming from." He thought alloud.

Eton walked over to Serene who collapsed and picked her up.

"I'll protect you with my last breath if need be." Eton muttered and then headed back to the inn, ignoring his own wounds for the time being.

"Nah." Tekun said. "I'll walk. I should be fine." He said walking besides Tania and her pegasus. "Shall we get going?"

"Nah, that would be the older looking guy." The blonde haired man said. "I'm a hired gaurd. You wanna join, talk to him, not me." The man said pointing towards the old man who seemed to be ignoring them.

Serene felt Eton's hands, and her breathing slowed. She felt safe, as if Endoh's spirit was driven away in fear from Eton's presence near her. In her exhausted sleep she muttered, "I know..." and a small discrete smile formed upon her lips. With the threat eliminated, she felt secure. An ignorant bliss settled upon her as she inhaled and exhaled deeply.

J acknowledged what the mercenary said, and moved towards the old man, staring towards him. "Hello sir," he began to say in his most polite way. "I was wondering if I could join your caravan for a bit. I can give you and extra set of skills, and I'll gladly work free of monetary charge." He grinned. "Yes, no monetary charge...but maybe another type of charge would be good!" he thought, still grinning to the man.

Rana fingered the glasses that had been in Anna's hands. They were certainly very unique, he thought, but she hadn't had them before now... He picked them up from where they had fallen, and looked towards Tekun and Tania. Anna was on the pegasus. The glasses seemed to quiver in his hand, and he tilted them so he could see through the glass. Everything looked the same to him. What was the use of magical spectacles if they did nothing?

"She dropped these." He muttered, growing tired again. Tania, the demon, the dragons, the glasses; everything was a mess. He took a deep breath, calming himself. There had to be reasons...

Tania looked back to see what Anna had dropped, it was those weird spectacles that she had seen Anna wearing she took them from Rana, he looked tired as well. Everyone was in dire need of a break in the inn, she laughed she wasn't tired at all even though she had just risen from the dead a few hours ago. "Come Windy let's head back to the inn" She tugged slightly on Windy's reins and slid her free arm around Rana's as began head towards the inn.

Violet cried silently, she hadn't felt so alone since that vague time as a child. She ran through the alley towards the street away from the destroyed remains of her lute. Even though she felt helpless and alone she still sang to herself while running through the street sides aimlessly. She didn't bother to wipe away her tears, she believed that she always had hope, and sang a strange little ditty she sang to herself as a child. All the while she jumped around through the alleys and eventually climbed up onto a roof, curled up into a ball singing to herself.

Rana held Tania's arm awkwardly, but as they walked he felt almost satisfied. He realized that there, with Tania close to him, he was happy; or as happy as he had been in a long time. He watched her as they walked, thinking. She was so beautiful...

"Tania... We should find someplace safer than here." He told her, trying to discern himself what he meant. The inn and the world around it hadn't gone well for any of the group.

The lava burst upward and engulfed the three of them. The searing rock burned through their flesh, devouring the colors and scents that belonged solely to them. It was the most painful experience Leon had ever felt, not just the melting, but the terrible screams that Marion was emitting. He watched in horror as his torso disappeared beneath the red and flames shot up his arms. The girl's body was completely disfigured, now. He dare not look. But eventually, he succumbed to the florescent goo and the music stopped.

He lay there with his eyes closed, wondering if he was dead. He could hear a voice... it was a woman. She was calling out to him... was it real..? Was this Heaven? As he slowly opened his eyes, a snow white pupil filled his vision. The woman backed away and smiled.

The rooftop Violet sat on began to dissipate. Everything went dark and the music became foreboding. Hundreds of replicas of her very own lute fell from the sky, crashing down to earth and shattering. Her own crying intensified. The feeling of horror engulfed her, overwhelming her own sense of being. Her own agonizing shrieks filled her with such dread that she screamed all the louder. When her breath failed her and she had yelled to her end, her body slipped away and fell into the beckoning, dark chasm.

Violet opened her eyes. She saw the French woman standing before her, grinning fiendishly. Leon hung upon the wall directly next to her. She then realized she was still sobbing. The maiden look at both of them and spoke.

"Did you have a pleasant dream, my friends?"
