When in hitstun, characters' hurtboxes double as hitboxes, with knockback determined by character velocity and direction.

You can't attack at all with Fox's and Falco's Shines and you're instead obligated to only use it for its intended purpose:

Give
Pick Up a hitbox that is an absurdly powerful spike on airbone opponents and stuns grounded opponent for as long as a Level 6 Stop, except you cant SDI it.Airlift can now go as long as Tails desires, including all across of Devil's Machine from one blastzone into the other.
