Samus feels pretty much the same, save the new animations and worse upb.
Pros: Fast attacks. Loads of projectiles. Camping game is only rivaled by Link to a certain degree. Fast air speed. ^ Has more control in the air than anybody. ^ Has quite a few combo options. HIGH priority. Lotsa kill powa. Grab game is pretty good. Floaty (helps in certain situations.
Cons: Large Target. Slow mobility. Short ranged in physical attacks. Can have trouble dealing with pressure. Below Average recovery (though it can be extended). Juggle bait. Can have trouble combo'ing at times.
While Samus could use some improvements in certain areas, she's pretty balanced for the most part and can be a pretty awesome fighter in capable hands.

Worse U-spec? Its actually slightly better.
You also forgot to mention her better B-air and her missiles having less recovery. Those changes help a lot.

Also that Samus is becoming harder to be used through more characters being able to destroy projectiles

Why is her Short hop so why now?
Also, it looks like D-spec got better.
EDIT: Looks like she has higher air speed.

it's just a quirk of samus's physics, having a high short hop was always an aspect of her character in official titles, it just didn't make it in before now.

Ah, that makes sense.
Super Missiles had a trajectory change from the looks of it. Did B-air just get better, or is that just me?

I don't think I messed with bair, but someone else might have. Super missiles probably feel different because jumping and shooting them is resulting in them being at different heights to what you're used to, due to her new jump heights and fall speeds. In addition you have more control over her movement in the air during the missile fire animation, so that'll affect it too

I like the idea of having a higher short hop. While it might seem annoying at first, it lets her perform a lot of really nice mid% combos, which compliments her ability to easily flip between playing campy and aggressive. I overall enjoy the feel of her much more than I did in previous version/patches.

Still, Samus is a better character on the ground imo
Not that her aerials themselves are bad, but she has to fight grounded opponents on the ground. She has a hard time doing air to ground combat because of her jump height and fall speed.

That's about right. Samus is interesting because having a low fall speed, high jumps, and being relatively mid-light range, you don't EVER want to be in the air unless it's on your own terms. So you hang out on the ground and cleverly out-space your opponent with your tilts etc until you can get THEM into the air, and then you have the air speed and the aerials to wreck them.

Still iffy with the new bombs. I can't decide if they're better or worse, or neutral change.
D-tilt does wonders. AND it can kill at high percent.
Land canceling missiles seems to be easier? At the very least, you can frame perfect the landing to launch two missiles at very nearly the same height (like within a couple pixels).
Bomb-jumping still works, though notably affected by the new physics, and can help you air tether>ledge snap for some nice surprise denials from onstage.

I don't really seem to note that much of a change in Samus (Apart from the SH height change). Her missiles properly explode when touching the ground, trying to hit an opponent with Z-air is way more tougher especially on smaller characters. Her SH height really ties in well with most platforms, allowing good missile cancels and probably more stuff.
Oh and Lloyd is very afraid of Samus's D-smash, pretty much if Samus near a ledge and facing away from it, and if you can bait Lloyd into you're d-smash (easier said than done considering Lloyd has a better ground game than Samus) you can most likely kill him. Though it's more easier if you do this after Lloyd passes 30%.
