MK just got the Diddy treatment he's more of an honest character now, who's playstyle isn't based around one ladder combo anymore. He still can ladder people to their doom but it won't be at 0% anymore.

if you're going to "eventually" join the community then you won't be good until you actually do

you also might have to switch mains, but since i assume you main Cloud, i figure you're fine. just be aware your character might not actually fit your playstyle as much as you like them

i went from being a random Sheik to taking out the #1 player on our PR after i switched to Bayonetta.

i actually dropped her before she got nerfed. bayonetta is just more fun to me.

Wait Kuro you beat the best player in Tampa? Because I was barley able to get by any of them with my D3, things managed to get easier when I went my Cloud and Olimar however.

Well I am technically already a part of the community just haven't gone to tournaments sorry about the confusion there. You guys always act like your superior to everybody when I am at the level of becoming a better player.

Well I play competitively I cannot go to tournaments because of the fact that I don't have time or money and there aren't any big ones were I live.

Anyway, with regards to this point, I think you can really only say you play "with a competitive mindset" if you haven't been to tournaments.
