well grinding in an actual RPG is a lot better than grinding in a platformer

Deku Spear? Eh, whatever. Anyway, involves Deku Stick Spear, Deku Saplings, Deku Leaf, and Deku Tree roots, in addition to a Kokiri Shield. And ice, for whatever reason.

You never ever have to grind in Zelda II, though. You get enough exp from just going through the game, unless you're deliberately avoiding all the enemies in the Palaces.

I can confirm that, although since I don't mind grinding, i've been doing it to make the palace's easier.

Yeah like obviously you can if you want but the game scales your level really nicely anyway. I'll agree that the difficulty curve is too steep when you first go into the Death Mountain cave area, it shouldn't get quite that hard that early, but it's the only real major problem with the game.

the swordfighting in that part is just hard, the enemies take some practice to deal with. you'll sooner get good at dealing with them than you will grind enough to make it so you can just plow through them.

Lol it's the most intense fighting i've seen on a NES game.

That's basically what i'm getting at. I also just realized that in Smash Bros, Links up and down air attacks are from Zelda II.

Judging by the way he worded some things it seems like the characters are definitely all from Ocarina/Twilight/Skyward or OCs
Which is pretty disappointing to me. It feels like it's really selling the series short.
Still looks like a neat game though. I'll pick it up when it's cheap

There is always DLC which i hope doesn't go too far. if it had online Co-op that would be cool i just hope that add something more than a leader board and miiverse
