on par with maces and other blunt weapons not on par with a bullet to the face shooting someone is horrible, it is not like in movies parts come off dude once you make the mental connection between the sound of a gunshot and a dude getting shot it becomes the most sickening and awful thing, you will never forget how it feels, looks, etc most people will refuse to touch a weapon ever again even after shooting an animal if you get shot in the arm or leg you will bleed to death very fast unless you get to a hospital, assuming the bullet hasn't ricocheted through your body and hit something more directly vital again it's nothing like in the movies

Okay, I'm currently talking to a friend of mine who was actually in the military and served in battle and he's calling you retarded. He's been shot pretty much everywhere and got out every time with few permanent injury. He's been shot in the upper and lower arms with no body armor and the only thing it honestly does is hurt like a b****. Besides, how does this change my original argument that guns are cowardly?
