Eh, I guess I hyped myself up based on fake leaks. This new roster ain't bad at all. Would have liked to see Snake back and see Ridley confirmed just to please all those fans, but whatevs. Still excited to play. And I mean, DLC hasn't been ruled out yet.

Why is everyone already asking for DLC when the game is just out/not even out yet for western countries. Just enjoy what you get for a while, gluttons.

I dunno, it's confusing. The inclusion of these clones feels somewhat like they ran out of time near the end to make more varied characters, but at the same time, didn't they plan the entire roster before Pokemon XY was even out?

When you find out a character you wanted isn't in the game you have to start telling yourself they'll be DLC so you don't cry

Theres also the rumor going around that 4 more characters are going to get announced for the Wii U version and then added for free to the 3DS version, so theres that reason for people to be talking about DLC as well

Yes, meaning that Dr. Mario and Dark Pit were on the list by then. We don't know the full list of what they were planning so none of us can say "so-and-so got in over someone else".

Unsourced rumors are worth about as much as they internet they're written on.

Saying "Dr. Mario got in over whatever" is so silly. The clone characters are essentially alt costumes that were given different stats (or have a few moveset changes) so they're given their own slot. How people can't grasp this still escapes me.

We still don't know how serious these changes are, though, let alone if they're serious enough to warrant their own character slot.

Any change is serious enough to warrant its own slot, because alt costumes can't have any gameplay differences.

Not sure about Dark Pit yet, but Lucina's changes are already known. Dr. Mario seems to work like melee, down to his Melee dspec/dair.

It doesn't matter if a character is different enough or deserves a spot, what matters is that the developers wanted this roster and we can't change that. If you don't like it, too bad for you.
