Well until I see an actual report, I'm just going to remain blissfully ignorant of your findings.

@DVDV Since when was Chrome proven to be good? I've used it a few times, I'd honestly rather use IE8. And the error reports (and they're frequent at that) are really unhelpful. They always say things like "Something is wrong with the program" or "There is an error". That's super helpful.
I should b**** the pseudo-science out of you, because I highly doubt you considered the variables that one would need to consider when doing these tests.

We considered processes running, which website was being used, things stored in the cache that would cause it to re-load faster, and the way both were configured to run.

Another variable would be internet speed, but nobody else was online at the time, and anything else involving that would be out of my hands.

Ok, how does that contribute to speed?

Nothing much, he just mentioned that Gif images are almost unreadable with opera.

Firefox has bugs that Opera doesn't have. Firefox sometimes closes down automatically, and you can't open it after it have done so. And they haven't even deleted the god damn bug from the updates either(Maybe it's just my computer). But I think Opera is better.

If you truly had considered all the variables, you would've realized it is near impossible to compare web browsers, especially with three tests. Server load and stability, internet connection, the way the site is coded, there's tens of things to keep track of. You can't go "it's out of my hands" and then offer your results, because your results are invalid. You CANT write off any of the variables just because you don't have the means to make sure they're accounted, that's Al Gore science.

I've been using Firefox for years, and it's never closed down automatically. Ever.

Actaully, my computer doesn't have a virus. It just closes down. Kaboom. Then I have to use another browser. Funny, huh?

Usually, you'd think that. From my experience, a computer will always have a virus or two running around in it. It might not actually do anything harmful, yet, but its there.

My computer consistantly has viruses. I should probably do something about it, but they don't seem to affect me.

Pretty sure there's plenty of other things than pr0n that can give you viruses.
Besides, they don't seem to be affecting him anyway. Not to say that he shouldn't get rid of them.

That's true, but I can get as close as I can to an accurate result to give me a general idea of which browser I'd prefer to use.
