I walk calmly (or at least acting calm) out of the door, Kam following closely behind. The two of us walk away slowly, and out the door of the McDonalds.

Halberd continues examining the dead body. "Yes. No doubt about it. An Andalite killed her." He says.

I rush toward my home. “Whatever this is, it looks suspicious. I can’t just leave this unanswered. I need to investigate!”

“Then what are you running away for?”

“A knife!”

“Wait, stop…” Kam says, “You already have the tools you need to stop this. You just need to figure out how to use it.”

“Huh?”

“Just trust me. Follow my directions.”

“Okay…” We are about two blocks away from the McDonalds, a safe distance.

Halberd looks up, and morphs human after shouting "OYAOLI-"

I run a block away, for safety. “I need to find out what was going on over there. Kam, you seemed to know a bit more than you were letting on…”

“Well, yeah, about that… You see, I’m kinda not a normal weasel. I’m what you might call a cyborg.”

“You have mechanical powers?”

“Yeah, but they serve me no purpose, Kam says, “It will only assist you.”

“Me? You were designed for me?

"Hal" walks across the street. "How could they kill Heather? She was the best person on the team..."

“Well, not exactly… I was designed to make a bond with someone, and I chose you,” Kam says.

“But… why me?”

“Why you? Well, you’re a bookworm with an open mind, and I guess that counts for something. It was half-random, really, but I’ve grown to like you.”

“Thanks… I think.”

*OOC: Does there appear to be anyone nearby?*

Halberd begins to cry. "Why does everyone whom I love have to perish at the hand of The One's forces!?"

“Seya, I want you to do something for me. Close your eyes.”

I close my eyes.

“Imagine yourself as a weasel. Imagine how it would feel, how you would look, everything.”

“Well, okay,” I say. I concentrate hard on it. And suddenly, I feel a strange energy. Despite my urge to open my eyes, I keep them closed. Chances are, whatever’s happening is what Kam wanted to happen.

“Alright, open them,” Kam says.

I open my eyes. Everything is bigger. Or am I smaller? I look at Kam. He seems about as tall as I am. Did I…?

“Well, how do you like your new look? You can switch back and forth at any time. You don’t need your eyes closed, though,” Kam says.

I look myself over. I did turn into a weasel. “But… how?”

“Alien tech,” Kam replies simply.

Halberd runs toward home only to run into two weasels...

“Hooooboy…” Kam thinks aloud.

"Hmm? Two Itachi?" Halberd asks.

“We’re not Itachi, we’re weasels,” Kam says.

"An Itachi is a weasel." Halberd explains. "Yatta Nihongo?*" He shouts.

“Trust me, he’s seen much more than that,” Kam says.
