KARNIVORE89 - Sony says they don't know the details of what really happened yet and that things like personal information may or may not have been taken.

This is real spooky for PS3 owners. I don't own one, so it's okay.

Sony also posted a blog update that said there has been no progress made on any of this.

Cool stuff.

I never really used online anyway, so it doesn't bother me.

Could be worse, at least I'm sure they aren't experiencing their PS3 shutting off all of a sudden from time to time like I am.

As far as I know, people are pretty pissed, since Sony took 6 days to tell everyone that their account information probably is stolen.

Well, at the very least, I never used Credit Cards.

I usually deleted the info right after using them.

Yet they didn't say the first day that the personal information could be taken.

And the fact that it took them time to say to people, "oh hey, your info might be taken," pisses people off.
It's not good customer support.

Might be another week. My PS3 friends are crashing over at our houses, Xbox, to play online.

Also, the station

is out of play.

A pity for people who use credit cards.

It's not good customer support.

People are pissed because they can't use the service that was promised to them. The possibility of stolen information is just another kick to the nads.

But honestly, looking at it from Sony's angle, can't really blame em. I mean, who goes into a problem by announcing THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOME to the public? That's bad PR. And not good customer support.

Good customer support isn't holding your hand and saying "there, there, so what if all your money got nicked and you can't play online with your mates, at least you know it!", good customer support is FIXING THE DAMN ISSUE.

Worst part is that I can't even get pissed off at Sony for it, since it's not like one of their employees spilled his drink over their servers and that caused all this shyte.
