yup, it looks great.
Although, I get the feeling his fur seems to have barely any shading, so maybe you can make his shading a bit more noticeable?
That's only scratching the bottom of the barrel, though, it looks good overall.

again, this shading is based on the whole ssf2 style sonic is mostly the same in this regard of shading

Eh, if you're gonna choose a particular style for your sprites, I definitely don't recommend to mimic its weak points such as odd shading.

The point of copying a style is to copy everything, along with its flaws. Fixing these break the feel for the style.

Most of the SSF2 sprites actually copy the style of series
EX: Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser have a style different from Link and Zelda

This is emulating the art direction that smash 4 took. As you can see from recent beta screenshots and in-game, smash flash 2's shading for fur includes a brighter color for the majority and some darker colors at the ends of the body.
