Are you saying that you can actually access another continent? In your last post I thought you were implying Skyrim was the neighbour of another country, which it happens to be mentioned ingame that its on the border of Morrowind. So it would be no discovery at all.

No, Daggerfall just had Hammerfell and a bit of High Rock, in a 1:1 scale (62k m squared)

Well, you got me there. Daggerfall didn't suck. But it, really, does not hold up well now. Morrowind still holds up well, so does the old Sonics' and Mario Brothers, and the Monkey Island games still hold up relatively well depending on who's standards you go by. f***, even Wolfenstein 3D still holds up fairly well. However, Daggerfall did not stand the test of time. It is almost unplayable for the most part. Unless you are one of 'those' guys. I mean, it is a cult game after all.

Not really, the rest of the world they modeled isn't even close to a 1 to 1 scale and people have no clipped out to see what it looks like. It's all just jaggies and extremely low rez textures. It would seem Bethesda just randomly generated the terrain and shaped it a tiny bit.
