My university asked for cartoonists for a one-time job and I applied and was selected. We have to make cartoons about an event we'll be attending tomorrow and I get paid 25 euro for it which is really cool

Good question, but as Kittenpuncher already explained; some countries within the EU chose not to use the Euro as their national currency. The UK is the most famous example of this I suppose, since they use the pound. The pound is super cool because it has Charles Darwin on it (though I can't remember which bill specifically had Darwin on it sadly). Then there is also the Danish krone which are basically just rad vikin coins.

the English £10 note is the one with Darwin on it. they're replacing him with Jane Austen in 2017 though because people cried about them replacing Elizabeth Fry with Churchill on the new £5 notes coming next year Scotland and Northern Ireland have different designs for their banknotes and it's really f*** annoying to have one of those because some shops don't accept them |
