So Jiggs savagely destroyed Yoshi G1...G2 was super close though. Completed Winners Quarters and Losers Rounds 2 and 3. The Losers Round 3 games were all crazy close. LilMac is in the lead for predictions and I now have a lead over Yoshiblaze by a point, though YB has two more correct picks than I do. Badcon can easily catch up since he's only a point behind.

Yoshi was literally a tail away from Top 8. Game 1 and 2 of Yoshi vs Marth brought the hype though and Yoshi still advanced the meta signficantly .

So the prediction placings are pretty much set since no matter if Jigglypuff loses or not, the scores differences will stay the same except I'll just be even further away from everyone else. This means that LilMac wins! Good job. Mine got bodied at the last minute since I predicted wrong in both Winners Semis matchups. -_-

Also, next regular singles tournament, I'd like to see what would happen if Jigglypuff and potentially other top characters were banned. These later tournament matches have been getting kind of stale in terms of characters. The matches themselves are pretty fun to spectate though.

Expanding on the character ban idea from last post, I think doing a series of Jiggs-banned tournaments and top 3 banned tournaments would be cool and refreshing. I'd like to try a Jiggs-banned one after this doubles one or the one after it.

Back from a hiatus I guess. Had some work to do over winter break, then college started in full force and I kind of stopped doing the CPU tournaments for a while. I did some stuff on my own when I got bored, but I didn't bring anything here since I didn't want to have to dedicate myself to completing the tournaments in a certain time frame when there was work/studying to be done. But now that I see that Yoshiblaze has shown interest for the latest tournament, I will continue! Albeit, things will likely be a little less frequent.

To start off, I guess I'll catch you all up on some of the stuff that happened with SSF2 CPU over the break. I finished up Doubles Tournament 5, which + / won and Golden009 and I won with the prediction competition. There were only two other tournaments on Challonge, one of which was for Turbo Heavy Doubles and the other was a Doubles Supertournament, where there were 4 different groups of teams, that competed in what ended up being a 70 team tournament with a Group stage and a Final stage. Both were fun and awesome. You can find the brackets for them and other tournaments here. I also finished up a FFA tournament that I started (I wish that Challonge supported those so that we could do FFA predictions. FFA tournaments in SSF2 are the best). Finally, I also did a Super Smash Flash 1 tournament, which ended up being surprisingly fun. I'd like to do a couple of those here in the future if people are interested.

Anyway, we'll be resuming with a standard singles tournament since I already have the Challonge bracket up for that. Let's see if Jiggs can continue her reign of terror! Okay, Round 1 finished. Replays attached to this post. Best of 3 format ruined two upsets -_- (Link vs Samus and Mario vs Bomberman). Sora has established himself as worst CPU in the game over Samus in my mind. Samus at least plays well and has had close sets against high tiers (Link, Ness, Falcon) in the past. Sora gets double 3 stocked by Sonic.

The prediction war is close with Corvid in the lead by a point right now.
