http://challonge.com/Flash_FridaySo... Theres been a lot of discussion about Mirror Chamber being banned and the like... So the SFBR decided to go try a completely different stagelist for this Tournament:
STAGELIST: * Mirror Chamber
* Clock Town
* Casino Night Zone
* Central Highway (Hazards ON)
* Bowser´s Castle
Yes, we´re serious, this is indeed the stagelist. But before you turn away thinking "TFW you moron", let me elaborate. Like stated above, there has been a discussion about certain stages being legal, fused semi-fused etc. This tourney is basically a test run in which the competitive viability of each of these stages shall be tested. This also is the reason why Gentleman´s Clause is NOT in affect for this tourney. So by entering this tourney, you also help the competitive side of SSF2!
(And you also get a free stage John for losing.)RULESET: * 4 stocks, 8 minutes format.
* Double Elimination (Yes Lunary, Double Elimination. Deal with it.)
*Items and Hazards are OFF with the excetion of Central Highway, which has always Hazrds ON. Items stay OFF however.
* No special modes. Doh.
* Sets are Best of 3; Winners, Losers and Grand Finals however are Best of 5.
Set procedure:
1.) Both players pick their character for Game 1 without telling their opponent who they play as. Lying about that leads to match loss.
2.) Players then proceed to strike stages as following: 1-2-2-1. The player who hosts the room strikes first.
3.) After each match, the winner declares if he changes characters before anything else. After that, the loser can decide wether or not he changes character and also declares this.
4.) The winner of Game 1 strikes two stages from the list above, leaving the choice of stage to the loser of the previous match. You cannot counterpick the stage you last won on in a Bo3, but in Bo5, you are free to do so.
5.) Repeat this procedure until the winner of the set is determined.
* If the game desynchs multiple times or is laggy to the point of being unplayable, contact the TO who will then decide how to continue the set.
* If the time runs out, the player with the most remaining stocks wins. If stocks are even, the player with less damage wins. Hitting your opponent after the time is up doesnt count, look at the % to determine this. If both stocks and percentage are even, a tie breaker with 1 stock, 3 minutes is played on the same stage with the same characters.
* If one player ends the match with a move that kills both players, the user of said move wins regardless of the Victory Results Screen if the user had more or the same number of stocks than his opponent before using the move.
* Disconnecting during a match on purpose always results in a match loss. If a desynch occurs, save the replay for further investigation if a debate should arise wether it was a desynch or not; dont pull a Noghrilla please.
* Stalling is not allowed. This inclued running around the stage purposely avoiding a fight by abusing moves like Rising Pound or repeated usage of Tethers and the like, inifintes past 150% and going under and/or around the stage for other purposes than recovery more than once a stock. Moving around the stage to get better positioning is not considered stalling.
* If the game glitches, a rematch has to be done under any circumstances, unless both players agree otherwise.
Thats it for the more important stuff. If you have any questions, just ask them
