ps2 is dead

My ps2 is dead... anyone know how to fix the motherboard and the sensor? or do I have to pay for a new one?

You'd just have to choose the parts with the most possible dilemmas wouldn't ya?
For example, so many things could go wrong with the motherboard it's uncountable. What exactly is happening when you try and use your PS2? |

PS2 are dirt cheap nowadays. Get a new one.

I can turn it on, but it wont read any discs. And sometimes, the screen turns red and it shuts off automatically.

Well the laser inside the ps2 that scans the game must be broken and I have no idea about the red screen thing.

the disk reading lens needs fixing or dusting off. But if its shutting off then its likely your motherboard is f***. Get a new PS2.

Agreed, swap Magic is a good choice, but I don't think its the time to discuss when he's trying to fix he's ps2. Just buy a new one, the same thing happened to me and I couldn't fix it. Got one for $40 at a swap-meet and the owner gave me 2 games(which I never play) for free. |

My ps2 is on its way with yours i think, because its starting to do some of those things.... oh well, i never play it anymore.

Get a new PS2 game. Should be 30-50 bucks. Trying to fix the PS2 will make it much worse
