Just a s*** outdated opinion I had when I first tired out Bowser. I don't think he's the worst anymore after understanding Bowser a little more.

Can it be the policy of this post that some explanation be given for tier lists? Tired of seeing nothing or a sentence that says "I played XXXX and he/she is bad/good."

I think people have S-tier all wrong (for certain selections). With a general increase in speed, higher focus on efficient kill-confirms/kill moves, and a general increase across the board in character control (thus stressing neutral and edge-guarding more), characters with reliable combo starts, stock-enders, good neutral, and good ways to get back to/get off stage will naturally succeed.

Isaac is a bit overrated, even from the start. Plain 2 reasons: up tilt has a LONG TTS (time to start) and his recovery is linear with no hit box. So fast characters with good edge guard will crush him and make it so tough for him to contend at the top.

As a v0.9b Sheik main, she is high A/low S easy. She lost "kill power" in outright knockback on some moves, but her hit boxes are much more reliable and her recovery is nearing the "ungimpable" realm because she can cover all scenarios with side-B, up-B, and transform into a better up-B/stall. Fair can self combo, grabs rock, and smash attacks tend to connect a bit better. Downside is just landing a kill in that awkward 70-100% zone where grabs don't connect to follow-ups.

Luigi is definitely high tier; this may be his fastest iteration in a Smash game and virtually everything combos (into up-B I might add). His struggle will be in linear recovery and again getting a kill in that awkward high percent range. But he has really powerful neutral options, fast frames, and priority.

That's all I can safely speculate on now due to needing playtime. (Though I will say Bowser is DEFINITELY high tier material; good frame data and kill-confirms at 60-80 is insane, plus neutral-B rocks in addition to a fast down-B that combos).

Uair is terrific on stages like Battlefield where you can basically pillar combo at 60% (lower based on weight), but if he's on a stage like FD, it's a struggle. And, unless you hit sweet spot over ledge, dair won't kill till past 100% unless you're near the blast zone or, again, playing against a lighter character. Luigi is very Jiggs-esque in that he can end stocks really early or really late based on stage/MU and landing his confirms at the right time, but his tools/approach don't change much no matter what, giving him consistency against the whole cast to achieve what he sets out to do. Fireball really stabilizes this as it lasts forever and is an awkward projectile to deal with/block that can combo in proper circumstance.

Just curious, why would you put , so low? His buffs seem really good, and probably is able to spam side b to people off the stage and maybe into the blast zone maybe even through the top.

Also with , he has decent recovery and really great kill moves.
