nearly every character has a spike/meteor in this game so I'd say it's a weakness lloyd doesn't really need one to be honest

Well its a weakness if your combo game or kill options are lackluster. For instance Tails needs to over rely on his down air meteor smash because he doesn't really have any combos into his few KO moves. The same could said for Chibi-Robo, but he has down throw into his up air or back air. Also Lloyd has a meteor if you have forgotten. Also other characters having one doesn't mean a character who does not have one makes it their weakness unless it's projectile or range based.

Lloyd is super flexible and you should be able to find your own way of playing him np. If I had to give some beginner tips they'd be; - Know the lengths and the hitboxes of your moves, also keep in mind the startup and end frames of them. Knowing these will help you understand what to use in any situation and when. - Neutral B is gdlk. Seriously, the stuff you can do with it is super useful in every MU. Understand the way it angles so that you can pop them out and almost always land them without having to think. You can head into training and practice short hopping into them, jumping back and throwing them to create space and canceling them into grabs for dem sweet setups. - If you watch, say, Lunary play Lloyd, you might notice that he throws in quite a few F Airs mid/end combo. It doesn't work for everyone. I personally use hella lotta N Airs cuz of many reasons. I'll talk about that in B&Bs. - F Smashing has a really pisstake lingering hitbox lmao, it's freaking amazing for edgegaurds - Side B is pretty much Lloyd's best killing move. But it has this weird mechanic where it brings you to a hault completely so practice using it in training in situations where you have to dash into it and all dat good sheet. - Everyone who doesnt play Lloyd thinks Down B is amazo. It's not tbh, don't use it unless your have the perfect opportunity since it's pretty easy to read. Bred and Budders: Up B > N Air - Everyone knows this one, not a hard one to learn. Pretty decent to use when learning Lloyd since it racks up a pretty decent amount of damage. It's not infinite since your opponent shoots up higher after you use an Up B based on their damage taken. Try doing Up B > N Air > Up B > N Air > Up B > U Air for some really noice damage N Air grabs - My secret, my love, my life. The reason why I love Lloyd so much. N Air can cancel into a lot of things making it super effective for setting up combos. Dash > Short hop (or just a jump depending on your distance from opponent) > N Air > Grab is really good for engages since it's extremely hard to punish. You can also Up B > Nair > Grab and repeat if you wanna cheese tf outta your opponent. N Air also cancels into Side B but it's not that easy to get into at first so try N Air grabs to start off. Short hop > D Air - Cancels into Up B quite nicely to extend your combo. It's also a lot less predictable than a D Air from a higher height. Those are basic and really useful things that you can use to start off. gl hf dont gg rip.

so whenever you do rising falcon out of tiger blade, it has no endlag
actually, just did some testing and if you do ANY aerial out of tiger blade it has no endlag, which explains the former
neat stuff, but not as useful as you might think since lloyd has hardly any endlag anyway
most useful thing is tiger blade -> dair -> any grounded followup you want

Well known, called Tiger Blade Cancel or TBC for short. You can also go for TBC Nair -> Grab at some %, and because Nair has lag, its actually useful there

So, in Beta. From what I've seen after rewatching the Apex stream: *Lloyd received a new Dair. (Crosses both swords below him in two arcs.) From what I've seen, it does 9% damage, and kills off the top surprisingly early, killing a Black Mage at about 110%. *Lloyd has a new Down Smash? Looks very similar to Grave Blade, and Lloyd still shouts "Sword Rain" (probably something that just wasn't fixed in time for Apex). Doesn't seem to have much kill power, sending a Zelda at 100% at the edge of the stage barely anywhere. Doesn't seem to have much range either. *Lloyd received a new Ftilt, now a 2-hit move with both swords, does 13%. *Dtilt has been visually upgraded, now looks similar to Link's, no damage or speed difference. *Tempest (Nair) seems to link all the hits easier. *Sonic Thrust now seems to have a bit less endlag. *Lloyd now looks behind him when he is using his Bair, it also seems to have a bit more range. *As seen in the Direct, Lloyd has updated effects on almost all of his moves, as well as his swords getting resprites. His swords are now separate from his sprite, and his swords don't flip when he turns around. So yeah, that's what I noticed. Feel free to add on anything that you noticed.
