Thats a funny way of putting it lol, but yeah.
It is implied though that in all the games, Master Hand brings the characters to life with the sole purpose of fighting each other, and testing their skills. Otherwise they'd be just dolls/trophies. First game is evident, but the latter two dont express it as much.
