I was discussing a basic idea for a 'Fallout' themed RP , with Bluemage. Whether its taken within the world of Fallout or is simply of the same 'theme' of a retro-futuristic apocalypse, is up in the air.

However id like to know anyone elses thoughts and opinions on the idea of an RP based on or inspired by the 'Fallout' universe.

For those that dont know. (Srsly how dont you)

The setting of fallout is a world devastated by a nuclear war, set more than hundred years afterward in the 2100-2200's. Despite being set in the future, everything has a '1950's world of tomorrow' tinge to it. Nuclear powered cars, the idea that radiation will mutate you into something grotesque rather than just give you cancer and kill you, and large, bulky robots.

The world of fallout is a bleak, inhospitable place filled with mutants, slavers, and carnivorous beasts. With small communities living out of the bombed out husks of the world that once was.

Because if this actually works out, i may not end up taking many elements from the source material in favor of a more original approach, i wont go much further into detail. I think you get the idea, and more if you know the world of fallout.

If this is something relatively accepted, ill work out the finer details and present a skeleton in the future, otherwise i wont waste everyone's time. What do you all think?

Based on how much influence i want it to have, there would be ghouls, BoS, etc.

Id try to work out a plot course as well and generally have it planned out. I'd also want a co-dm.

Not sure if itd be stat based or not, preferably no. Or some mish mash between stat and traditional.

Anyway, We can make everything influenced by Fallout 3, but call it something else. You know, kind of like how Asylum Studios does their movies. It'll be a mockbuster!

Sounds a bit like the Obernewton Chronicles, and Blue's RP. You know the one, that had to die even though it was my first time on this forum to become an evil biker gang leader? erhm...Anyways even though I'm up to my head in RPs it sounds interesting ^.^ Do go on.
