Something that has been bothering me:

I think it's important to keep in mind that Axel isn't new by any stretch of the imagination. He has taken part in his fair share of games, both here and on Mafiascum. He isn't very good at the game, so he makes "newbie mistakes", but we can't allow ourselves to continue letting him hide behind the shield of "being new" in the same way that we might allow a legitimately new player to slip up a few times without pouncing on them. Let's forget his history and analyze his posts for what they really are: wild, overly aggressive swings at the air.

I'm on my phone at the moment, but I will respond to DJ. I haven't forgotten. ;)

Ok, v/la begins now, to wednesday. My mom is also gonna be having surgery, so please pray she recovers quickly. Thankyou.

I might be able to get on and read what is said, but that's about it.

Okay, I'm getting pretty tired of your frequent v/la'ing.

Good luck on that.

Oh boy, big post.

As promised, in this post I'll formally state my case against 135.

The first post raising a slight alarm is this one:

135 wrote:
Hm, kind-of-sort-of Town-vibe on UltimateZendayaFan.

Slight possibility that he is Mafia with Geno.

This was before the post asking about multi-mafia factions. Now that I read it, it is basically a "middle of the road" post; not taking a real opinion ("kind-of-sort-of"). Also, it calls my attention because he raises the possibility of both being scum, which I find unlikely (being Day 1, scum wouldn't like to bring so much attention over themselves). Being just before an unrelated post asking about the setup, it went quickly forgotten.

Early post is early. yes this one was middle-of the road, I agree. It isn't so much the meat of the conversation as it was the ice-breaker, in a way, if you would.

Next one is this one:

135 wrote:
I'm not lurking. I'm just catching up ._.

Anyways, I quite liked Geno's reads. A lot of them are what I think, which either means he's Town or could mimic Town-ish train of thought really well. What really impresses me is this part.
Dr.Geno wrote:
Reads. going on a scale from 0-10. 0 being ultra town and 10 being wow scum, 5 being null

DJ Wizard Cop: 4/10
DJ starts most of his games pretty similarly, so I'm not going convince myself early on that he looks town-like. I'm gonna keep him at null and watch a bit more. Though in the past when he has accused me of being scum he's turned out town I believe, so I'm leaning a tad bit more in that direction, but not by much.

IDK why, but the bolded part just seems really Town-Sided; there's something objective and stuff about it.

BTW Axel, I'm pretty sure saying someone is Scummy and voting for them is enough pressure lol

Rarely do people get the chance, as Geno said, to say, "Oh, you're not just Scummy, you're SCUM." The closest would be investigative roles, but even those could have factors that mess up their results.

Again, 135 opens the post right away with a "it could be anything" statement. Later, he covers the scum/scummy issue, which is just answering to a nitpicky statement if anything.

You know when someone gives you a read, and it looks pretty Town-like, but you're like "can't tell if Town or just playing really well as Mafia"? That was kind of my reaction to Geno's. Because, like, he plays pretty well on both sides IIRC.

Next one, (which was the first raising my alarms) was this:

135 wrote:
Axel, seriously though, how much do you suspect Geno?

Terrible questions (at the specified point it was fairly obvious Axel had a high suspicion level against Geno), useless (asking for further reasoning or motivation would have been a better choice) and appearing as contributing without saying anything.

Ah. This one. I guess I received a lot of flak for this, but to date, I still don't see why, and I suppose I haven't given much serious attention to the accusation.

Given the fact that in the previous pages he seems almost certain that Geno was Mafia, and now seems less so, I just wanted to pin down where exactly his rating of Geno was. For future reference, if nothing else.

This one could be a bit nitpicky but

lol, me too. The claim is quite dependable IMO, since Jane, while not that much of a major character, seems like a likely candidate for a Town role nonetheless. Unless it's a specified Safe-Claim.

Anyways, quite productive for a first day IMO. Anything else you guys wanna do before night?

I just realized 135 suggested to end the day RIGHT AFTER AXEL (our best scum bet) CLAIMED role name.
Also, another "cover-all-situations" post.

Yes, I did. Him claiming pretty much put a lot of things back to square 1. That and I'm not sure what you're implying.

Uh. I'm not sure whether you're acting kind of like a Mafia because you really are, or because you're new. Either way it's kind of hard to get reads on you, due to your rather uqique playstyle, which makes it kind of difficult to figure out what side you're really on.

Again, trying to convey most situations. Also, I just noticed he unvoted a player he wasn't voting; it's almost as if he intended to vote JC first (under inactivity argument) but quickly changed his mind for an easy target. Also, when asked why the vote on Axel, he wasn't able of clarifying and barely stated the "idk his alignment so he's most likely scum" sentence which again, is a fairly bad argument.

No that's not what I said though. I was voting for him because apparently people have such a difficult time reading him. Like, as I said, how people vote for inactive people because inactive people don't give Read material.
Quote:
In synthesis, 135 has contributed few with his posts (both in quantity and quality), his statements are vague and do not have a posture, he appears in particularly convenient points trying to shift the attention away from the points at the moment, and his votes have poor reasoning.

With this evidence, I'm fairly confident we got scum here. What's your opinion, 135?

135, could you please explain why you think setting things back to square one is a productive end to a day?

Axel's Lynch-meter went back to square 1. As in, we kind of had some sort of momentum, but then he claimed and that was kind of that.

However, there was a lot of stuff produced in the process, even though in a way we went around in a circle with Axel in particular. These "stuff" could be used later for reads and references.

No, it didn't. His claim is a particularly safe claim (being a minor character from what I've seen) and the main questions upon him are still unsolved.

If anything, it was a flat line untill now. Axel was Axel, and stayed as Axel, and we're gaining information on him quickly. He didn't go "Back to square 1", he went up a few more squares. As 194 mentioned, your posts have been jumping around with your viewpoint, and I'm far from liking it.

So, so far.

You're inconsistent, and think the only thing close to a town-tell from Axel is scummy.

Please don't show up until Wednesday then. Your lack of organization is causing trouble with everyone else. And please try not to be so rude, it's causing disruption in the game, as well as breaking Rule 5.

^Yeah seriously, it's only Day 1 and this is like the third time you've gone V/LA. Either you can actually play the game, or you can just replace out.

194 has brought up some good points about 135. 135's kind of been jumping all over the place and not really giving any clear answers as to who he thinks of to be scum or town, instead he's just saying they could be either or. He's also suggesting that we end the day even though we still have a marginal amount of time before the deadline. I'm not going to vote him just yet but I definitely got my eye on him.

Three days isn't exactly marginal. I'm not sure how to feel about the 135 situation, because while they could be scum slips I guess as far as being center of the road, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that he's town either, just asking so-so questions and not having the best reads.

Maybe he should character claim as well?

Yeah but it's still enough time for people to get on here and post.

It's more of a null-scum read on him. Not nearly enough to convince me. I don't think he should claim right now in case he's a power role or something.

Can we have a vote count?

Geno, what's with the whole claiming thing?

Like, I can understand with Axel, but imo 135 hasn't done anything to warrant a claim from him.
