as much as i dont want cloed to have to do so much dirty work, its better if it's clicked cause, some people (like me) like to highlight as i read what i just read, so it's easy for people to accidently highlight it. am i rite?

What we also need, is that line that goes through words, like if it's 'crossed out'

Just use quote tags, and find the specific background color of the quote boxes with paint. Oh, wait, we don't have the color gray!? WTF!?

Well it could be a button that appears written spoiler in it, If you press it the spoiler will appear that is how most forums that use the spoiler tag do.

I used to modify the board's code all the time on another forum I used to run (which, coincidentally, also used Getaway Dark Blue) - heck, I could do it if you gave me access to whatever you need to modify

You could also modify the .tpl files (?) associated with the posting template to add the "invisible" font color.
However you don't run this forum's FTP so that's out of the question lol
