Or Yoshis. Played with three friends once and they kept all teaming up to prevent me from getting on my Yoshi.

Well there has been already the European and Australian releases, still two days for the North American release, it's odd I didn't make a countdown on my sig for New Super Mario Bros. 2.

Well New Super Mario Bros 2 is out now, i gotta say im liking it so far. Though it feels a little slower sometimes cuz i end up trying to collect every coin i see lol.

It seems to mostly use the same soundtrack as NSMBWii but overdubbed with more "wahs" which is sort of okay, but yeah they should have some new tracks at least.

Finally got NSMB2. Pretty fun actually, and the coin gimmick is more intelligent than I thought it was when I first heard about it.

I still dont see what collecting 1 million coins has to do with the plot :P They could have at least explained that, maybe Bowser's castle is protected or something and only the power of the coins can dispel it or something like that.

The game kinda just starts...

it skips the plot we know already and gets straight to the meat of the game. it's mario, it doesn't need to explain itself if it decides to mix up the formula a little.

Yeah but i dont know whats going on other than the Princess being kidnapped again. At least NSMBWii showed that it was Peach's birthday and that she was kidnapped by the Koopalings hiding in the cake. Even the first NSMB had a better opening: Mario and Peach are going for a walk, a thundercloud strikes Peach's castle, Mario goes to check it out, and Peach gets kidnapped.

This one its just Mario and Luigi flying off for some random reason, then Peach gets kidnapped. I think they just wanted to show off the return of the Racoon Suit.

I always read the electronic manuals, and according to it, NSMB2's DLC might be temporal as Nintendo can remove it at any time, that's not good!

Its just when you go from two games that have a decent scenario to a game that has less of one, its annoying. Its part of the same series, at least they could have had a better scenario. At least in the first two games, the plan to kidnap Peach was through a diversion/disguise respectively. The next game just has Mario and Luigi fly away from Peach for no particular reason, only for her to be snatched away.

So its like they just took the opportunity that Peach was alone for a few seconds. It just seems like they are getting lazier with the plot of these games, which there isnt much of in the first place, so that makes it worse. Its getting to the point where the story is absolutely nothing but "Peach gets kidnapped, Mario saves her" without a scenario to go with it. Unless they are trying to go back to the roots of Mario where you got no story whatsoever, there is no excuse.

Look you may judge me, but people have their quirks, leave them be.

Well the plot of the game isn't that important. It's all about the levels. IMO NSMB2's plot sounds kinda interesting. Definitely gonna get it soon.

When have we worried about Mario's plot line?

Eh... That was just me complaining about how NSMB2's intro is less interesting than the other NSMB games. Nothing to worry about lol.

One interesting thing about NSMB2 though is they turned the cannons (warps) into short levels where Mario dashes through a short obstacle course collecting coins and jumping on enemies. You can actually die on these stages now lol

You know im actually surprised that the Gold Flower doesnt appear frequently, and many times you only have 1 chance to get one in the entire level, so if you miss the opportunity or lose it by getting hit, you cant get it again til you retry the entire level.

Theres only so many gold toad houses to visit to get one in reserve, so...

I could swear there is a secret path in World 1-4 that you need a gold flower to enter, yet the level doesnt have one, does that mean that if you expended all the gold toad houses already you cant ever go in there?
