If you're going to play Lloyd, it doesn't make much sense to not use fsmash: like playing IC's and not chaingrabbing, or playing Sheik and never using dthrow.

Falcon code requires that you play with honor. When you pick Lloyd, you've already ceded that, so why not?

nah that mentality towards falcon really annoys me cause it gravitates the meta towards a suboptimal playstyle
like 20GX are doing it right, regardless of 'honour' or 'style'

falcon is just another character, the same as lloyd is.

What are Lloyd's major weaknesses besides his below average weight and his recovery?

short grab range
SLIGHT lack of immediate kill power but not really

Actually his grab range is still in the top ten, but its not as long as it was last demo.

Hmmm actually I do notice that when I play him that some of kill moves don't kill until higher percentages.

I originally thought he had problems dealing with projectiles, but I starting to rethink that.

Is no spike a weakness or just normal?

It's normal because Pikachu never had meteor smash until Smash 4 and he did just fine. The same can be said for Meta Knight. Also Lloyd's meteor smash is okay, but I wouldn't use it to take someone down off stage.
