So im very new here and am REALLY digging this game and have been playing non-stop for the past few weeks. Just out of curiosity, what are you more seasoned players (and new) favorite mains to use and why. All the characters seem pretty epic to me. HELLA PROPS to the Dev team as well!

Captain Falcon. His playstyle feels so good, his attacks are quick and strong, and he has a decent recovery. His throws are awesome too.

Then 0.9b demo released.

Yea hes always been one of my go-to chars. on console, im gravitating towrds Lloyd alot for the smooth playstyle though. Easy to work in smooth dual weilding combos.
(i mean who doesnt like dual wielders)

Fox! He's such a fast paced character and i always try and play fast on many games i play. If it wasn't Fox, though, it would be Marth because i've watch the most tutorials with him and he's a great character in general.

And Ken mains him. MAINS HIM!

And Ken is of Vietnamese descendant! Why would I NOT main Marth?

My main is Yoshi and it will always be Yoshi. I've been playing as them since 64 because:

1. They're my favorite fictional species.
2. They're unorthodox to play as and largely ignored by most players because of that.
3. They have a high skill ceiling and a number of options that keep opponents guessing.
4. Since there's more than one in canon, it feels like I'm playing as my own character rather than just borrowing one for a while.

Yes, some of my reasons are weird. But they're my reasons.

Link was my main for all the demos...until 0.9a where I used Lloyd.
Then 0.9b happened and boosted my faith in Link.

SORA IS THE BOMB!!! I can't wait to destroy everyone in online mode with him

1. Zero Suit Samus, I love her speed and am able to go from one move into a combo very easily with her. I feel right at home with speedy characters.

2. Marth, this style of gameplay has been my favorite since melee, same reasoning usually am able to pull off combos pretty quickly and am used to playing as this style since melee came out 13 years ago.

Tails, predominantly because I love foxes. Secondarily because he attacks and responds quickly with multiple strikes. If I'm going to be on the losing end, I'll go down flailing my tails throughout the battlefield.

Secondarily I use Black Mage. He's just fun to cast magic with. So many ways to battle an opponent with him.

Wario is preety solid and easy to control, Ill be known as '' BLUE GREED '' to you guys.

I love playing as Mario, both in 9a and 9b. He feels so solid in B now that makes it extremely fun for me to play as. I'm really good with him and mained him since in Crusade, Brawl, Melee, and 64.

I also love playing as him because I'm mainly used to love Mario like s***, and still do. He's one of my favorite video game characters of all time

Tails I love foxes plus I been obsessed with Tails since a young age :p (not a blind fan boy though).

I also like his play style of using his tails. I guess I should go ahead and thank the developers for even putting him in the game over other characters. thanks Dev staff!

I'm known for being a Mario main (and a huge Waluigi fan due to my old alias being darkwaluigi), but my true main is Wario, and has been since he was added to SSF2 back in the v0.7 days.

I was bummed when Wario's moveset in Brawl was more centered at the WarioWare games than the Wario Land/World games that Project M's Wario is based around, but I still picked him up and played him constantly.

Easy combos (some you do have to take risks for, which gives him a little higher skill cap imo), Decent weight and recovery, and overall, Wario has been one of my favorite characters in the Mario series since I was a kid (With Yoshi, and Waluigi right behind him)
