Well, I've recentley discovered thet forumnation (a free forums hoster) gives you an special feature called "Throw dices". Besides that functions, it has other features dedicated to RP'ing, but I don't believe they are as important as the "Throw dices".

Basically, this functions allows to use a code-object called "dice" (with a fixed number of faces) to randombly create a number (beetwen those faces) the amount of times you want.

I was impressed because I think that such a thing can make the RP' section a lot, A LOT FUNNIER; if we include the luck as a new factor.

So I would suggest you to look up for a similar way to do this in this lenguage...

I read that you can use [randm] A/B[/randm] in BBcode2 (The result will be a number beetwen A and B) , so there might be a similar function in BBcode3.

So, that's my request.... Basically, I want something similar.


Here you have an example, where "try luck" is the function to throw dices

well I'm not sure how to implement this. I tested out a javascript random tag real quick but there's two problems
1) It screws up the page
2) You get a different random number every time you refresh the page

I will work on it and see what I can get.

Well you can get a random number now, but changes everytime you refresh the page
Example: [rand][/rand]
^^^Hit F5 to see it change.

Well, Joat's method was probably using the preview button, and then using that number, deleting the tags, and then writing that number in.
Really tedious, so a default tag for this would be nice.

Hakker is right... that command is useless for RPG.

the command I found ONLY changed when you edit the post...
so if you avoid editing a post, you could use it to test luck.
(you can see if a post has been edited, so there is no way of cheating)
