Last night, I was being completely bodied by a Meta Knight in a high-lag match.

What should've been a simple three-stock became getting slowly tortured for half an hour.

I typically experience this against Meta Knight as well in lag.

I think it's more likely that FD is a great newb stage, even years back when playing Melee with my siblings we knew 0 about competitive Smash. We liked FD simply because it's the easiest stage to play, it had no ramps or other obstacles. Even platforms could be seen as somewhat an obstacle because no character is good "on" platforms (being on a platform is a bad thing most of the time.) That's amplified in Flash 2 since platforms feel kinda tacky as they are now.

Yeah, the FD mindest probably stems from the fact that there is nothing but you and your opponent, seems like the fairest stage right? Platforms are something you have to get used to. In the beginning of my smash career I wasn't a fan of platforms, I always felt that they got in my way. But, over time, you get used to them and then you realize that BF is probably the most neutral stage.

Every time I try to get my Kirby on, if I play a random more than once they inevitably counterpick Marth.

That stops working after a while you know

So goml that means you'll be able to beat Marth players and not complain about how janky he is.

I'm slowly realising that falcon has bad matchups against half the cast, and goes even against the rest.
