This is currently one of my favorite on going series. As you can see from the image, Bakuman. was created by the duo that gave us Death Note. I read the manga, until the anime released, now there are 2 seasons, still on going of the manga. For any Shonen Jump fan, this is definitely an anime you should get into. Its about 2 high school students who attempt to make their own manga (yea the premise sounds boring, but give it a chance, its interesting). They get published in "Weekly Shonen Jack" which is supposed to be Shonen Jump, clearly. Anyway since it's supposed to be Shonen Jump, all the characters that work their are anime versions of actual Shonen Jump editors, and they reference Naruto, One Piece, and DBZ, and all other Shonen Jump mangas every chance they get. (For example, they will be picking up a copy of Shonen "Jack" and Naruto will be on the cover). They even said dattebayo in an episode, and in another they performed the fusion dance from DBZ. That's what I meant when I said it would be interesting to any Shonen Jump fan. To anyone who watches this, thoughts? Do you like it as much as I do, or do you find it boring?

No it's not like hayate no gotoku, and no, its just any other manga for readers to enjoy.

I really love this series, but yea just before you start it just know it has no action, no powers or anything like that. But it keeps my interest lol. And I really like the characters. If you've watched Death Note just knowing its by the same duo should be enough to convince you to check it out. The second season is ending soon, a great time to catch up ;].

Death Note's a good anime to watch. And I'm fine with no action. The whole idea of the anime is appealing to me, as well.

Well, I finally started watching it, and I'm on episode 5. I love this anime.

This anime is really good. Usually, I watch an episode of something whenever I feel like it. But then there are some that I limit to 1 or 2 episodes a day to maximize the enjoyment I get out of them. This is definitely one of them.

EDIT: Oh, and that Nizuma Eiji guy seems like a bit of a nutcase.
