Also, no you didn't. This is just intermediate movement-options, but it's still some of the easiest tech in SSF2 (or any Smash game frankly).

also for the tas accusations, i have been accused of this before and the only peice of evidence that i really have to respond to that is this game i played with miracle 7 who seems to be a pretty trusted member of the community, but nice try.

But consistent pivots are easy as long as there's no lag to account for. I do them with Kirby all the time. It's a pretty useless tech, but it's fun to show off with. Pivot>Taunt is the only time I use it tho

I'm not trying to be rude, man. :\ Some of this tech you, and your friend, just recently discovered is more than 3 years old. But I also don't know why someone would accuse you of TAS. This is very feasible tech to do by hand. If you want some examples to help you:

My first Pivot hand-cam from v0.9a. It's honestly sloppy, but you can see at 0:18 how I rapid cut my pivots short to cancel them into each-other. This is to achieve the small micro-spacing possible in the shortest amount of time.

v0.9b pivots with Marth, and do tilts, jab, Fsmash immediately out of rapid dashdance with some pivots mixed in.


I do believe though you have the first video showing slide-pivots. I know it was talked about about the first week Beta released, but no one really got in-depth with its application or made a video showing every character's slide-pivot length. Could be something for the future as we really could use more tutorials/tech-skill video showing the games potential.
While I get that you're a Kirby-main, and he don't get too much from pivots; this is SSF2 main-spacing mechanic to be a substitute for wavedashing. It covers much of the same versatile options for movement-spacing in neutral.

Nvm. Just fought against a good Pika/Marth/Falco/Falcon. The tech can be useful as a mixup during a dashdance (specifically dash behind them>grab)
