A 15th century knight fights a 15th century ninja. Who would win?
Ninja gets 5 seconds to prepare before the battle starts, but (s)he and his/ her equipment cannot enter within a 10 yard radius of the knight, neither can (s)he load any projectiles. Knight has no horse and is not expecting the battle, but is already armed and battle-ready.

A Knight is Iron Clad, though. You can throw as many light metal objects as you want, it wouldn't be penetrated.

Except China's gunpowder was pretty much a paltry toy.
Europeans used gunpowder as a weapon before the Chinese did, and, as far as I remember, they brought it to Japan in the 17th century.

Yes, the knight has a weapon on hand. He is battle-ready, but not exactly expecting battle. Think of it as an athlete not knowing when there'll be a race, but trains everyday anyways.
Specific equipments will be up to discussion.

That's why I game them a 5 second head start, to simulate assassinating partially. Making this topic "will a ninja be able to assassinate a knight" would be somewhat boring IMO :/
