Heh, the post looks stiff. Especially especially in comparison to the picture I posted about 3 posts later than I was expecting to post it. The picture I posted has a very Araki-esque pose, which is probably not what you're looking for at all, but it is a good starting point to learn from.

And yeah, you know me all too well about my policies on getting art done.

I'm an animator really. This is all part of animation, which is an extension of drawing. To be an animator, you gotta know a lot about drawing. I started spriting roughly a year and a half ago to prove to some know-nothing editors that making sprites without a base is easy. I have a damned infamous reputation among sprite editors, especially the sonic kind.

I learned pixel art from every resource available. I'm a master of content. I really know where to look for stuff. I posted my full list of tutorials in the tutorial topic. Here it is again, in a box. I advise you don't quote this post.

version beta meaning: only leg and arm movement for now. Will do head movement later.

Head motion is part of it. You can't do the legs without the rest. Also, NEVER SHIFT THE HEAD ON THE X AXIS. ALWAYS MAKE IT BOB UP AND DOWN, NEVER SIDEWAYS. At best, you get a pigeon. At worst, you get something nasty like what you just posted.

Look up Preston Blair's walk cycles. He had a really nice set of them in his bo- OKAYWAITNOWHERETHEYARE:

That would be my fault entirely, as I animated it slightly wrong on a few frames.

I used the run on that sheet as reference. But I'll keep that in mind as I'm currently working on head movement.

Decent, but still stiff. There's no dynamic to it.
