@Glitch: yessir
@Vii: haha. I do love Beneton and its simplicity. I'll look into GIMP too. Thanks for the suggestion
@Gold: doesn't seem like an effective way but I'll try that for now. Thanks.

The outline thing, I mean: If there's a dark green background, and he doesnt have an outline, he will blend into the bg, giving him an unfair advantage for a rubbish reason. But I wonder, do you expect to complete a full spritesheet for this? It seems to take an extremely long time for each frame. And a lot of animations, which means way more frames, are necessary for SSF2

@LS: Well, he has an outline, but it's pretty light I guess. I'll darken it up. Also, yes I plan a full spritesheet. It's going to be difficult, but definately worth it.

Life is 3-dimensional and shadowed as well, separating objects clearly.

Seperating objects clearly through contrasts and light and dark shades, not black outlines.

I'm sorry, but I'm definately not doing a black outline, and that is because of some very good advice I got back on the 1st Expansion forums. I forgot who told me (I think it was Crater) but when I was making my Centorian they said that for the kind of style I was using that black outlines would just kill my sprite and that I should use just a darker color to outline it. So I did and it turned out to be my best sprite. Here's the sheet of my Centorian and my progress on it. You'll notice that it got extremely better once the out line was gone: I'll change the way I outline it, but I will never use black to outline it (except in my PA's, but that's another story & style) EDIT: Alright, people. Apparently I need a new pallete for Link, but there's a problem: I've looked far and wide for a good link pallette, but I've found nothing that works like I want it to. If anyone has any suggestions as to a good pallette, please share. My original was colors from my Pixel Art, which I guess isn't working for the sprite. If I get nothing I'll resort to the using the colors straight for Link's pic in the DOJO for Brawl. Thank you for the help

How many shades per color? This could be a perfect chance to work on my pallete selection.

UPDATE!!! Red's outline and such is now complete. This is the Red & Pikachu PA as of now. All I have left is to shade. Comments?

Oh, sorry. I thought it was on. Here it is: hmm...I don't like it without color. I'll see if I can get them to color Red for the game.

thanks. And I'm not to into the "Minunchu" thing... I'll see if I can get them to alter the colors on Pikachu's sprite.
