Alright, so, this is for a friend of mine, so you'll have to excuse me if details are a bit sketchy at the moment.
It's a 160 gb iPod classic.
Apparently, it refuses to sync with itunes and has promptly erased itself, dumping everything on the computer, and it refuses to sync back with itunes.
I know ipods are known for their widespread issues, so I wanna know if anyone know anything about this one?
(Don't call me to tell my friend to call customer support, those f*** want 40 bucks to try and help her)

Oh, so...I have a question, it can't sync with iTunes meaning it won't connect to iTunes and can't get like music from it?
And another question while you're at it, has you friend downloaded anything suspicious that didn't work like it said it was suppose to?

Did she try backing up her music (that is, if it isn't already on the computer somewhere other than iTunes), uninstalling iTunes, reinstalling it, importing the music again and attempting a resync? Syncing is where it takes music from her iTunes library and puts it onto her iPod.

On the Ipod's menu when you use Itunes, there should be an option that says "manually sync from Itunes" or something. If you check that she can simply drag and drop songs onto her Ipod.

Formatting the iPod might fix it... Worked with mine, but it was a different type of iPod, so I don't know.

Well you could tell her to hold the middle button plug in computer continue to hold middle button remove charger from computer that should rereset the iPod. If that dose'nt work maybe a nearby electronic store will help. Or maybe theirs a shortage in the wire.

Sorry guys, she went and called in a favor from a friend, who got her a brand new one from the shop he worked in for 60 dollars. Ironically, she did get through to apple, you know what they gave her for her trouble? A 5 dollar gift certificate. For something that costs 200 dollars, that broke and they didn't even attempt to fix when she paid 40$ for it. Why the f*** does anyone like these elitist f***?
