This isn't necessarily a new Lara Croft. The Lara they deliver in the game is very similar to the Lara everyone's come to admire. Her origins are retold. Crystal Dynamics has been in charge of the Tomb Raider series since before 2006 with their release of Tomb Raider Legend. They had no intention to recreate the character much like the new Dante in DmC. This is just a younger Lara who has only started her many journeys.

I'm pretty sure she is a reinvisioning of the character.

Well...I disagree. The ending has me convinced.

EDIT:
The only reinvisioning is the gameplay, It's FAR from what the previous games were. It's a open world with free exploration positioned around a well told story.

Wasn't Tomb Raider Reborn/2013 pretty much a reboot of the series? The new origins giving way to a new line of games featuring Lara?

DLC comes out in a week. In the meantime, who do you guys main?

Would any of you fine gents have the slightest idea on how to verse another person on the other side of the globe at Playstation All Stars? I have a friend who I can't seem to join in battle at all. I looked around Google for answers and came to many comments on the UPnP setting being the main problem. Apparently both consoles are supposed to have this setting on and the game is good to play. However we tried it with it on and off with no luck at all. All we get is connection errors when we attempt to join one-another.

I only wanna ask if any of you have found a cure of this problem at all, or if you've ever heard of it.

How about those patch notes? Significant buffs to Jak, good enough nerf to Kratos and Sly, most level 1 hit confirms taken out (A few still remain such as Spike)...

Still, Big Daddy nerfed again? Cut him some slack, will ya? He's probably the worst character on the roster now.

His level 2 and 3 are supreme though.

Bigger issue is that every single patch has Sackboy get nerfed into oblivion. He's pretty much worthless now.

he had very little combo options as it was already dangit.
