I have a friend who plays it. visually the attacks look cool, but the game itself looks like its just puzzle and dragons viewed from the front of the board instead of above.

exactly. To be fair, there ain't no other game like Dokkan Battle. And there are some original elements to it, obviously. That doesn't stop it from being simplistically simplistic tho. |
