This universe is changing. Well, that would be a bad statement to make, as it always had been in a state of change. No, this was different. Worlds broke away from their stable orbit, sending them soaring into nothingness. The movements caused the ship routes that had connected the worlds to be severed, cutting off communications and creating total chaos. Several planets fell victim to the opportunistic Heartless in the few weeks that followed, until eventually some of the planets fell into alignment again. New ship routes formed between them, and it was not long before the first scouting parties discovered just how dangerous this new alignment was.

We find ourselves only a few days after the first scouting parties reported back to their commanders, and find both the Castle Knights and the Organization preparing themselves for a full-blown war that would likely decide the fate of this universe for once and for all.

__________________________________________________________________________________

The rules :

1: No godmodding, auto-hitting or evading, or creating allies/enemies. (if you gain a summoning ability, the actual summon will be created by yours truly)

2: Don't bring Out Of Character knowledge into the RP. For example, your character can't suddenly know that his friend on the other side of the universe is in trouble. Or that someone is sneaking around across town in order to try and snipe you.

3: You're not the narrator/DM, don't invent quests or events, that's my task.

4: Bios and Out Of Character posts go into the other topic! (found here: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=23193)

__________________________________________________________________________________

Tactical planet overview : As we find ourselves at the beginning of the war, information about the worlds is non-existant, only the planets and what faction has a majority control is known.

Image

Later, the names of commanders on the planet and details on what kind of assistance/opposition to expect will be added to this as the information becomes available.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Tactical Hero database : Now this will be interesting once we get into the swing of things. Every hero has his own fighting style and combat tactics. As the hero fights against players from the other faction, that faction will be able to fill out a report on that hero. Usually, it'll take 3-5 fights to fill the report up completely, but some heroes periodically change their combat tactics and fighting style to ensure the opposing faction is in for a surprise. Again, empty right now, but expect it to fill QUICKLY.

__________________________________________________________________________________

Gummi ship hangar : Two starting models, new ones will be added to both sides from time to time, but the quickest way to fill the hangars is by doing quests to get new models. Note that this can be used to give your side an advantage, until the other faction does a similar quest or steals one of the ships by boarding it and killing all of the people occupying it, at which point it will become available for construction to that faction as well.

Kingdom model
speed : 6
carrying capacity : 3
armaments : two unmovable small cannons mounted under the wings. (in order to hit something, ya gotta turn to face it, obviously)
description : the basic model, it's a jack of all trades, a good ship to take if you are unsure what to expect, with the ability to defend itself from small threats while being able to run from larger threats. Frequently used to assist dreadnoughts, as their speed usually makes it impossible for the enemy to flee the larger ship's destruction.

Dreadnought model
speed : 2
carrying capacity : 5
armaments : one large cannon with slow turning capabilities mounted underneath the coc.kpit, one medium cannon with slow turning capabilities mounted on top of the ship.
description : the dreadnought is part troop transport, part vehicle of war. It speeds makes it almost useless in trying to chase ships, but when defending or attacking worlds, its carrying capacity and armaments will make swift work of most other ships. It's not unusual to see one of these guarding the orbit of an outpost world, or a whole fleet of them defending the homeworld. Its largest weakness by far is the slow turning speed of it's weapons, which means light and small crafts can easily evade them. It is advised to have them escorted by a squad of Kingdom ships if you're going into well-defended hostile territory.

Take note that engineers are still tweaking both models, so you might find a sudden change in statistics.

Beginning posts : They're back, and this time both written by me... Apologies in advance.

Castle Guards opening post :

Things were hectic around the castle, to put it lightly. Guards were patrolling the corridors in groups of three, and it was not an unusual sight to see ten to twenty soldiers run past on their way to the gummi ship hangar, on the way to their next mission. On the plaza, hundreds of soldiers were assembled, waiting for their next assignment, truly an impressive sight to behold. But as you and your fellow Castle Guards watch those soldiers, while they patiently awaited their commands in the burning afternoon sun, it became obvious that these men, disciplined and devoted as they were, would likely not be able to win against even the weakest heartless. Soon, the plaza was empty, as every soldier received his orders, ranging from defending the castle to departing to Twilight Town. Now, only you and your companions remained.

Minutes passed before you were finally addressed, by an elderly man whose scars seemed to indicate that he had, at one time, been a soldier himself. "Ah yes, you must be the new Castle Guards." He didn't say mercenaries, which some of them would be. "The Kingdom thanks you for your support, and wishes to let you know that these badges will identify you as Castle Guards to our troops, please have them visible at all time." The small badges were passed around with silence. "Well then, as Castle Guards, your primary task is to defend the Kingdom and it's citizens, as such, we request that you depart with much haste to Twilight Town, where our citizens are being besieged by the Heartless as we speak." The man half-turned to the ships as their engines roared. "Please board the troop transports, or ask the engineers if you wish to pilot a Gummi Ship yourself." There was another pause. "Some of you may stay behind, in case we fail. We'll need some capable men to guard his Majesty." It seems that, with the enemy so close to their doorstep, a single battle could mean the difference between survival and defeat.

__________________________________________________________________________________
Organization beginning post :

The sound of a single pair of footsteps rang out through the dull, undecorated halls of The World That Never Was. You stopped, and not a single sound could be heard. Not one person was visible, no matter for how long you idly walk in a single direction, not one sign of life made itself apparent. If you didn't know better, you'd think that there was a war going on. It would only be a matter of time until you found your way to the briefing room, a room that was surprisingly, furnished. The two sofas and coffee tables that were in the room, however, were completely white, and almost seemed invisible against the similarily colored walls. A decently sized group of robed but unhooded men and women stood facing a single individual, who was the only one to have his face hidden behind the Organization hood. Once the last member entered the room, he finally spoke up.

"You will divide yourselves into two teams, the smaller of the two shall stay here and dispatch with any unwanted visitors, the larger team shall immediately board gummi ships and leave for Twilight town, where they shall establish a foothold and take control of the world." The hooded man said in a monotone voice, offering no further explanation as he simply turned and left, leading the Organization members to fend for themselves.

Despite the hectic and bustling atmosphere of the castle Amara remained jovial and casual as she walked through halls. Smiling and waving at the castle guards as they ran by her busily. Most of them were too busy to respond so they quickly nodded in her direction or hurriedly waved to her as they ran to the gummi ship hangar. Amara hoped they would be alright in the battlefield, the heartless had grown much more vicious than ever before, or at least that's what the textbooks seemed to indicate, as she recalled her time spent at the Academy. Stepping out into the plaza she watched as many of the soldiers were given their various tasks, wishing them luck as they went on their way. The crowd diminished and only a few of them remained within the plaza.

The man who seemed to be in charge of coordination gave her the castle knight badge which she held preciously as she stared at it in her hands. All her hard work had finally payed off, her mother would have been so proud. She clipped the badge onto her belt near her belt buckle and she patted it contentedly. He gave them their assignment, they were to go to Twilight Town and protect the world as well as the people living there. "Failure won't be an option" replied Amara cheerily "We most certainly will be able to squash the enemy and reclaim what is rightfully ours." She triumphantly slammed her fist into the palm of her hand for further added effect. "I will go and fight in the name of King Mickey!"

Not waiting for any of the other castle guards, of whom she was sure she'd have the pleasure to thoroughly meet later, she skipped out of the plaza jumping in the air and clicked her heels once. Hopefully one of the other guards would care to travel with her, teamwork would ensure a much greater chance of success than fighting alone, not that she wasn't capable of solo combat. She headed towards the hangar, a lot less active after most of the soldiers had already left on their missions, the hangar seemed fairly empty to her, which was quite logical seeing as a whole platoon of castle guards left. It was shocking really, that even after all of them left there was still so many other castle guards remain in the castle currently. She wondered if the higher ups ever considered them as simply expendable. Amara quickly shrugged such morbid thoughts as she stepped into the hangar waiting for someone to direct her as to what exactly she was supposed to do to get to Twilight Town.

He was too old for this s***, Gennedy thought inwardly. Well they gave him back that fancy badge. He would remove it later out of sight. It was an unusual assignment for him, seeing as the kingdom had never entered a full scale war like this to his knowledge. A job was a job though, so he bowed silently until one of the cheerier ones in line burst out with a

"Failure won't be an option. We most certainly will be able to squash the enemy and reclaim what is rightfully ours. I will go and fight in the name of King Mickey!"

Cute but perhaps not the best way to go about a war. That gungho attitude will change once a few died in front of her. Or so he thought.

He headed to the hangar next, he needed a fast ship and a helmsman. Perhaps he could get one of the faster ones, a pitched space battle was not what he was looking for in any case. As soon as he got there he saw the same young knight standing there. In his mind, he imagined her standing there with her index under her lips wondering what to do next like some confused cartoon character. Heh, he smiled beneath the mask. Approaching as soundlessly as his boots permitted on the ground, he approached her.

"I am finding the fastest ship out, do you want to come with me?"

Pete silently listened to the hooded mans words whilst looking down at the dark, depressing city below. The entire castle seemed to be muted, except for that one man. Despite the veil of mystery that constantly surrounded the man, Pete couldn't help but admire him. His dry, emotionless voice carried a sort of authority that could intimidate anyone. Everything about him was efficient, from the orders he gave to the way he walked. He was exactly the sort of person Pete liked.

As soon as the man left the room the entire organization seemed to scurry this way and that, as if some sort of telepathy was telling them all what to do. Pete began to move towards the hangars while mentally nagging about everything there was to nag about and then some. Meanwhile, he instinctively avoided as many people as possible.

The empty white halls were the only thing that seemed to please the old man. As cranky as he was, he could never find anything to complain about in such a simple environment. Everything was quite, plain, and just the way he wanted.

Organization side

The hangar was, unlike the rest of the castle, buzzing with activity. Mechanics of a rather strange kind were running, actually flying, through the hangar from ship to ship, ensuring that they were in top shape for the Organziation members. The creatures had small wings sprouting from their back, which stuck through their cloak, and a red ball of fur sprouting at the end of an antenna appeared from the top of their hood, dancing about whenever they shook their head. The creatures were in actuality rather tiny, probably only reaching up to a person's kneecap if they were to simply walk. This lead to some questionable situations, such as how they maintained a ship twohundred times their size, or why the organization had employed them, out of all possibilities.

One of the creatures stopped and turned to the new arrivals. "Ah, you must be here to try out the new ships?" He inquired in a tone that barely managed to contain the enthusiasm in his voice, in stark contrast to the man who had given them their mission. "Feel free to pick any ship you see here, although we only have Kingdoms and Dreadnoughts available right now..." He stated, as if trying to apologize for the lack of options in advance. Then he scurried off, likely not wanting to get too involved with these men.

Castle Guard side

The hangar was almost entirely abandoned, with a couple of pilots sitting at a table on one side, sipping their drinks as they awaited an assignment, while a few mechanics hovered over the remaining ships, doing the last minute inspections like would be expected of them. In the far end of the hangar, a single troop transport still stood, which was in the process of preparing for take-off, even though it's carrying capacity had not yet been reached. The elder who had been briefing them until this point strolled by and cleared his throat. "Attention, anyone who is unable to pilot a Gummi Ship, please accompany me onto the transport, and I shall give you more information on the planet we're going to on the way there." He wasted no further time, hopping aboard the large Gummi Ship and strapping himself in next to some rather nervous looking soldiers.

Alex

Alex stood upright as he listened, hiding his excitement behind a stern face. Today he'll soon be fighting a war to prove himself as a man. While that wasn't the best of causes (and he knew it), there could be worse reasons to fight against the Heartless, and his motive was at least to him, personally the most important.

Like the other knights, he headed for the hanger, toying with the badge as he went, tossing it from one hand to the other, before shoving it in his left pocket.. He didn't speak nor interacted with the rest; He was bound to learn about more of them later on. Besides, he had already planned to go with someone else, he was a sharpshooter, not a Gummi Ship Pilot.

Reaching the Hanger, it was mostly empty, the only ship that wasn't under inspection was a transport ship at the far end. The man who briefed them earlier told those who weren't going to pilot a ship to accompany him into the ship. A even better idea than mine Alex thought, and followed.

Bylueal

The castle was quiet. Bylueal hated the quietness. Not that he actually had emotions, but he felt rather uneasy that this place was eerily devoid of sound, even cricket noises would be sufficient than this. Was this really necessary? Sure, some music might kill the ominous mood, but this silence in the World just seems excessive. The only source of sound, the only one here actually hooded spoke.

"You will divide yourselves into two teams, the smaller of the two shall stay here and dispatch with any unwanted visitors, the larger team shall immediately board gummi ships and leave for Twilight town, where they shall establish a foothold and take control of the world."

He left before any questions could be asked, not that anyone would probably say anything. Bylueal gave only a shrug, the man had authority, and nothing good could come from complaining to him face to face.

Like the others, he went for the hanger. It was a lot more different than the rest of the place thankfully, the moogles were hard at work at maintaining the ships. They were a strangely familiar sight to Bylueal, and were probably the only beings that he didn't a disdain for other than the man. "I'll take a dreadnought if you all don't mind" Bylueal said loudly as he walked, but not loud enough to sound crude to others.

Amara whirled around to see who was talking to her, it was almost shocking, because she hadn't even heard him approach. It was like he appeared out of thin air. She immediately recognized him as one of the castle guard members she had seen before dashing out of the plaza after they were given their mission. Amara blinked vacantly then smiled broadly while looking up at him.

"Sure!" she said cheerily "Teamwork is always the best work. I'm Amara." She wondered why the man wore a mask, it sure made him seem mysterious. Maybe that was what he was going for? She wondered whether he'd be able to take it off or maybe he was horribly disfigured in a tragic accident? It wouldn't have been polite to just blatantly ask, or so she thought, which is why she let her imagination run wild with various theories.

After the elderly guard captain's alerted them that he'd be leaving soon, with a large group of soldiers. Though she recalled the man asking for the fastest ship out of the kingdom it'd probably be better not to go on a Dreadnought if he wanted speed. She turned to the man who had spoken to her earlier so she could voice her inward sentiments. "Well I can fly a gummi ship well" she said proudly though not in a way to portray c*** "I was something of an aerial ace, so we can use a kingdom model since it's faster if you want, or we could go with the group and head to Twilight Town together" she shrugged "It's your call. I'll enjoy the ride either way"

The talkative bundle of energy responded in kind, positively and since she could pilot a ship, it was a bonus.

"Then we go get a Kingdom model," he said starting to walk slowly towards the row parked with them, "Gennedy Zakharov, senior knight."

He had heard the elder guard captain call for anyone to board but he knew better. Or at least, he was on par in terms of seniority and could probably command troops of his own if he was promoted to do so. Not that he wanted to, he worked best in small groups. He arrived at the front the ships. On their noses were painted different names but they were all fundamentally the same. A Kingdom model, the fastest available at the moment, would have to do. He'd make a note to find an ever faster ship as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Unconsciously he came to a stop in front a ship and sound found himself staring at it. The name painted right behind the nose struck a chord, L'Incorrigible, the one who cannot be corrected. He snapped around quickly, trying to make sure Amara was keeping pace and ready to fly.

Peter reached the hangar just as a young man announced his desire for a Dreadnought. He let out a long, angry sigh, as the kid just destroyed the peaceful atmosphere.

The old man couldn't remember the last time he'd flown a ship, however, so he decided to fly with someone. Of course, the noisy kid had just made it extremely obvious that he could fly, so he chose him.

"Excuse me, young man," Pete said as he walked towards the boy. "Would you be so kind as to allow me to fly with you?" The man seemed to be polite enough, despite his previous outburst, so Pete expected him to agree.

Castle Guards

=Alex & non-posters=

The elder was surprised that only one of the guards answered his offer, but he welcomed the youth into the vessel, offering him the seat besides him. "Welcome aboard, Alex." The man practically had to yell to avoid being drowned out by the sound of the engines as the ship prepared to lift off. "Are the others coming? More energetic kids could always be a bonus." The elder continued, earning a nervous chuckle from some of the soldiers. It really became obvious that the other men in the vessel were, at the very least, scared out of their wits.

The elder was nervous too, but likely not about the prospect of going into combat, but about going into combat too late. "We're out of time, tell the pilot to take off!"

=Gennedy & Amarantha=

The ship before them had seen a few scuffles in the past, judging from the repairs that had been done to it, some of the metal plates looked brand new, while others looked older and worn. An engineer rolled from under the ship's wings, having just finished the check-up on the weaponry. He was wiping a thick, black substance onto the towel at his waist when he noticed the two Castle Guards and snapped to attention, if only purely out of shock, standing stiff as a board and forgetting to use his in-door voice. "Sir! The Kingdom model L'Incorrigible is ready to be taken out!" The engineer yelled out, loud enough to make the pilots at the other side of the hangar wince. Then the young man seemed to calm down, but still he did not relax. "I mean, euhm, if you want it, that is..." It wasn't so much that it was a bad ship, but most pilots thought a name like 'the uncorrectable' was bad luck, and so they avoided flying with the ship as much as possible.

Organization

The moogle nodded and slowly raised his tiny hand in the direction of the nearest ship. It was an ugly, black ship, built for efficiency instead of looks. It was also several times larger than the smaller and faster Kingdom model besides it, giving it a rather menacing look. "It's just been prepared to your commander's specifications, and it's ready to go whenever you desire." The 'specifications' had been rather simple. All that had to be done was remove any traces of the ship's name, an action that truly depressed the moogles, who took great joy in naming their creation. But they had complied, they had to. The alternative was not something they liked to think about. "Will you require a pilot? We have many experienced combat pilots standing by if you need them." The moogle assured the duo, looking from one to the other, trying to discover if either of them had piloting training.

Alex

"Thank you Sir! I think I'm the only one left who hasn't decided to ride on their own ship!" Alex yelled in response, and accepted the seat besides the elder. Looking at the others, they weren't as spirited as him, probably worried about going into the battle. Alex himself wasn't too worried about it, he certainly didn't think being scared would help improve their chances at victory. Needing a way to ignore the nervous soldiers, and the loud engines, he began tinkering with his rifle, just as the
Gunsmith in his hometown taught him to.

"We're out of time, tell the pilot to take off!" the Elder said. Looking up at the Elder, Alex faced the c***. "TAKE OFF! he yelled, as much as his small throat could handle.

Bylueal

"Sure, it would be a delight to have a companion along". Bylueal said, in a more softer voice. The old man facing him seemed annoyed at his loudness earlier, but at this point, Bylueal didn't feel like insulting anyone at the moment (perhaps after the battle, he could target one of the other members, preferably a woman) and instead just wanted to get the battle done.

The moogle in front of him pointed to the closest ship. It wasn't much of a looker, though the ships Bylueal rode weren't too (although crashing them would do that). Listening to what the engineer said, apparently other than the minatory silence, the Commander also wanted no names given to the ships. A pity, ship names always gave life to what was otherwise a giant transport. "I won't need a pilot, I have experience, and I certainly won't be trying any maneuvers with Nemo here." Nudging to the direction of the ship. Granted, his experiences mostly had to do with whether or not he narrowly avoid hitting something, and making ships do movement that weren't suppose to be possible.

Isaac found himself quick on his feet as he made his way to the briefing room as most others were, footsteps from a nonexistent source piercing the silence, almost harmony of the world. It took him only minutes to reach the place all others had presumably flocked to, and the presence of furniture, light however it may be, made the room stick out from the otherwise lifeless place that similarly reflected the Nobodies themselves. Isaac joined the group of robed men and women without delay, ones that had been blessed with the same fate as he had; the only ones able enough to wipe the scum of the universe clean. All lacking hoods, all but the one the entirety of the gathering was looking to. Without further delay, the man spoke simple and clear instruction in a monotone yet commanding voice. It was undeniable that he was their leader, yet with such an overflow of Nobodies few actually knew who he was, not that they particularly cared.

It would be a waste of battle prowess to simply stay behind and defend as there were many far more suited for such a position; no, he would join the attacking force and help claim the practically dead world. It was a tragedy that Twilight Town was but a mere battlefield, unnecessary and unimportant lives lost in the crossfires of war, but also unavoidable with the severed connections to other worlds. Isaac found himself in the hanger sooner rather then later, this time an early arrival, and a small group had seemed to catch the attention of one of the odd creatures that inhabited the hanger in bulk. He approached as the creature began to speak, unexpectedly well-versed in the common language. "Ah, you must be here to try out the new ships? Feel free to pick any ship you see here, although we only have Kingdoms and Dreadnoughts available right now..." it stated quickly, then flying off before argument could be made. A young man then made his intent clear to those in the hanger, almost carelessly, with a "I'll take a dreadnought if you all don't mind," drawing both a particularly grizzled old man and yet another unfamiliar creature to him. Isaac felt a tinge of disdain for him, enough to avoid traveling with him if at all possible, and instead catch the attention of the nearest moogle to him, approaching it with what politeness was possible. "I must request a.. Kingdom model, was it? and a pilot." he stated straightforwardly, perhaps even flatly. There was no use tarrying about, and he would not waste time with idle chatter.

Castle Guards

The elder snorted. "Shame, would've preferred if we'd managed to fill the ship." He mumbled, watching the as the entrance to the ship slid shut, leaving the men in almost complete darkness, except for the faint few lights that lit up above them, just enough so that the soldiers would know who not to attack should they be boarded. The ship rumbled lightly as it took off, fighting against gravity for only a brief few moments before it seemed to come to a halt. Suddenly, it stopped, and everything outside went silent, meaning that either they had been blown to pieces and hadn't realized it yet, or they were flying through space. "Shouldn't be more then a few minutes." The elder said, conversationally. The man was a bit strange, he looked almost too normally dressed. Not gowned in the fine silks of a negotiator, nor in the tough metal of a soldier. It was an outfit that you'd expect to find on someone walking to the grocer and back, not the kind that was heading into a battlefield. Heck, he didn't even appear to be armed. But if anyone looked hard enough at his hat, they'd be forced to finally notice the faded, though still lightly shimmering badge that identified him as a Castle guard.

Organization

=Bylueal=

The Moogle followed them to the ship, nodding weakly once the man stated that a pilot would not be required. The poor creatures formed a connection with the ships, and would hate to see one destroyed. Besides, the tiny creature knew that if one of the ships was destroyed, their new employer would blame them, and he seemed like the kind of man to execute his employees for things like that. "Are you certain you won't require a pilot?" He attempted, one final time, albeit weakly. "Alright then, please take care and let us know if there are any issues with the ship." The Moogle stated friendly, before flying off to its next assignment.

=Isaac=

A Moogle took note to the man almost immediately after he requested the ship, and flew over, rather energetically. "Yessir, that will be one Kingdom model?" The tiny creature asked. "Quite a good ship for a fast approach and quick assault, if I do say so myself!" He suddenly blew a whistle that he had produced from his cloak, and seconds later, a new creature emerged from another room, heading right for the Moogle. It looked almost humanoid, clad in dark blue robes, while a pointed, straw wizard hat hid its face from sight, with only two piercing yellow eyes staring out from under the hat. It came to a halt next to the Moogle, and stared at it, seeming to wait for something. "This is a Black Mage." The flying creature informed it. "It's a sort of doll, quite ingenious really, that will follow your commands!" This specific Moogle seemed energetic about everything. "Not much conversation, though, like talking to a wall! But they're good pilots, probably some of the best, not to mention their magic makes them pretty qualified for protecting the ship..." He said, rambling on even though they were already standing in front of the Kingdom vessel. The Black Mage wordlessly began to climb the ladder into the ship, mindlessly preparing for take-off.

They had agreed that they would take a kingdom model to Twilight Town, and so she followed Gennedy as they walked through the different Kingdom Models. She let her finger slide along the smooth hulls of all the ships as she passed them. Smiling at some of the engineers she passed. They probably looked odd, the both of them working together as a team, she a bundle of joy and smiles. Gennedy, a man enshrouded by mystery. It was fun, and she couldn't wait to see how he'd fight, what surprises did the senior knight hold?

They stopped in front of a ship named L'Incorrigible she smiled, somewhat expecting that the name of the ship would draw Gennedy. She shrugged, sure it looked like it had been through a few battles, but that also meant that many people went in it and came back alive. A gummi ship was a gummi ship to her, names were just a nice little icing to add. She looked down as an engineer rolled out from underneath the gummi ship wiping some sort of black fluid onto a rather dirty towel at his waist. Noticing them he stood up at attention.

"Sir! The Kingdom model L'Incorrigible is ready to be taken out!" he yelled in Gennedy's general direction, though it was loud enough to make her cringe slightly. She blinked vacantly at the engineer, wondering why exactly he was shouting and then he continued in a much more subdued volume "I mean, euhm, if you want it, that is..." Amara giggled while placing her hands on her waist.

"Sure we want it" she said friendlily, she looked to where the other gummi ship had been, they had taken off and left a few moments ago perhaps. "We better hurry up too, or we'll be late to the party" She smiled at the engineer.

"Sure we want it," Amara cut him off.

Well it was not like he wasn't going to choose it.

"We better hurry up too, or we'll be late to the party," from Amara snapped Gennedy back in to the mission.

"Yes, let us sortie, Amara if you please," he gestured with his hands outstretched like a butler, allowing her to go first.

She would probably step inside quickly so Gennedy took a good look at what was to be his transport for the foreseeable future. L'Incorrigible was well and truly worn. The paint was no longer fresh, nicks and scrapes dotted the hull. That was usually a good sign. Looks tend to deceive people in to drawing the wrong conclusions but Gennedy knew how to appreciate a tried and tested tool.

Which brought him to his next issue. Amara was young, much more so that he was and he'd rather not be associated with any unsavoury fetishes. How many times had she been tested in real combat he wondered? Gennedy would have to talk to her more then, as much as he'd rather not; it'd be considered bad form to do a background check but it was certainly not against regulations, at least not that he knew of.
