OOC: Sorry I didn't post before now DH, I was forced out the door and couldn't finish it...
Rana stumbled into the town square. The others were lifting into the air to his far left, and in the distance he could see the dragons approaching. They were truly massive, all three of them. Three of them. Rana removed his hood and squinted, raising his hand slightly. The creatures were like wyvern, but with long tails and harder skin. Rana twitched. They were hot, like fire, inside and out. They were dragons. One of them, smaller than the other two, dipped and spiraled in the air. It pumped its wings and grumbled, excited by the smell of food- it had far less restraint than its older 'friends'. The dragon was ruby-red and its scales would have sparkled if they weren't coated in a layer of frost, tiny insects and mud. It was thin for a dragon, but its tail was long and the animal easily could have stretched to 50 feet, with a wingspan of 45. It bent itself gracefully in the air, spreading its wings and opening its mouth to roar. Rana stepped back, in shock. There wasn't a way he could fight all three. Even the large ones alone could have destroyed the entire group in a single breath... He looked towards Windy, carrying all the others on her back. They needed to speed up. He began to motion and say something when a screeching roar interrupted him. Rana turned to see the small dragon had come far closer than the other two and was now barely 200 feet away and slowing down, ready to attack. He shook, terrified. He hadn't felt fear like this before... He knew wrath, hatred, love and regret, but now he was terrified for his life and the life of his 'pseudo-friends'. Rana raised his hand and the air around him wavered. Perhaps, he thought, he could fight and distract the demons. The dragon roared again, its high-pitched voice sounding like metal clanging together in a rush of wind. It pounded the air under it with great flaps of skin, growling. Intimidating. It wavered in the air before landing hard in the center of the square. One of its eyes found the group sitting on Windy's back, and the other met Rana's own, stone grey and darting around wildly. The dragon hunched itself over and flicked its tongue. Rana moved suddenly. He forced void energy from his body, channeling it into streams of blackness that exploded from his fingertips. The dragon screeched and reared when the shadows surrounded its face, but wasn't hurt. Rana stared in dismay and attacked again, screaming as he did so. The dragon screamed back and Rana's ears exploded. Rana whimpered and stepped back again. He shut his eyes. He reached back into himself, feeling with tenderness the barrier between the void and his world. He was the hole in existence. He was the permanent tear in reality that grew harder to close every moment, but stayed shut because he never opened it. Rana raised both hands, shaking. He felt the energy leave him, saw flashes of shadow tear the air around him apart and strike the dragon hard. It did almost nothing. Rana shuddered. He was doomed, he thought, before he realized he was still attacking the dragon. Void matter was pouring out of his hands and when he tried to close the hole the void pushed him away. Rana was confused. He had felt the same before, as a child, when he had destroyed his home, but... This was different. He was far, far stronger now. Rana cried as he let go, feeling more and more energy rip through his body and fill everything around him. Rana covered his eyes to block the falling out, but a sudden explosion came from his hands and his head was thrown back. He fell and crashed into the ground, just as another explosion came from his clenched fists. He shook, black fire rising from the ground around his body and scorching the dragon. He pulled himself onto his knees and extended his arms before another blast arched his back and pushed him down. His nose and ears were bleeding. Rana again forced himself up. Everything was silent. Everything was strange. He felt lines of flesh open up along his arms, legs and back. No body could withstand this kind of torment. He yelled, screaming on the top of his lungs. He threw his hands out and the shadowy fire around him swirled into a single place. The pulsating storm of blackness hurtled into the great giant, surrounding it and crushing it.
Rana felt nothing as he fell forward and hit the ground hard. Everything around him buzzed and rang, and the last thing he saw before passing out was the mighty dragon toppling over and crushing a hut under its smoldering, dead flesh.

"Well... before we leave, how about we break into the tavern and loot everything we can? I'm sure they won't be needing it anymore." Lex grudgingly followed Leon, glancing back at the pub. "Really, it's such a waste to leave all of that rum..." He sighed, "... and possibly survivors? Maybe even women? I'm sure they would love to have a strong, burly man in armor save them from whatever did this.." Lex poked Leon's neck and urged him to go back.

Tekun starred in awe at the destruction caused by Rana, but it had a toll on him, he was out like a light, but now they were down one dragon, they had a chance. A small one and a larger one. With that he drew his blade. "Get ready, focus on the small one first. We can do this." He said to the group as a whole. The dragons approached with a new resolve, fierce and enraged by loss. If they were older, they'd would set the town ablaze, but tearing them apart would be just as good.
"Yea. There right over there, somethign happened, one of them looks pretty dead dead. We can take em. Two dragons. No problem, right?" He said trying to keep Serene's hopes up as they flew towards them.
"Worthless?" Julius said. "That's a fire tome, we could use that. Pass it over this way." He said. "And don't try to sell it to me either, i'd like to get a fire going."
Leon turned back to Lex and pulled out his sword.
"Maybe I should just kill you and save you from being torn appart unmercifully by a hungry beast." Leon said. "An empty town with no activity, everyone has either fled or been killed, I'd loot it if I had more people, but two against whatever did this is hardly a fair fight. IF your going to be greedy, get what you can, pick your battles."

Jophiv had been riding for days without food, and rationed his water as best he could. Of course Licove was more like a water buffalo than a horse...
That's when the chill caught him. It wasn't the cold. No, he lived in the desert so he knew the difference between a cold night and the chill of death.
Licove neighed, she had caught on to. She stopped and was reluctant to move any farther, but a kind word and a swift tap on her rear started her up again. But as she topped the next hill, her and her rider saw them. Large wy- no, dragons, and was that... it was. A group people, and from the looks of thing they were confused. There were to groups about to merge on each other, and the dragons. Licove reared, dragon fear taking hold, but her rider's hold was tighter. And with a light pat on the head and stern boot in the side the horse bolted off towards the distant town.
Jophiv only hoped they could arrive in time to help.

Windy reared with fright throwing anyone else that had stayed on her back after Tania slid off of her back. She shrieked, which was quite rare for the mellow pegasus to do. Tania reached up to grab the reins, dust and debris were whipped about everywhere, she was glad that she had braided her hair previously. Darkness began to fall around them, it was darker than the night sky it had a sort of emptiness, and when she looked she saw that the source was Rana. He was battling a large dragon that had spotted them, the energy that surged out of him was enormous, though she saw that he was in pain. When he fell down to the ground she screamed, but her voice was muffled by the roar of a dieing dragon.
She looked back at the others, they would be able to defend themselves while she was away. She quickly hopped onto Windy's back, and immediately urged her to fly towards Rana, he had saved their lives, now she would save his. Windy flapped her wings powerfully, and stayed relatively close to the ground. They reached Rana's body and Windy began to fly upwards, Tania swung herself below hanging like an acrobat reached down and grabbed onto Rana's limp body, he felt light. "He must barely eat" she thought to herself while pulling his cold body close to hers. She quickly pulled Windy back towards the others, which Windy slightly hesitated to. "We're stronger in numbers" whispered Tania into her ears trying to soothe the pegasus down. She neighed lowly while sending out another call of distress telepathically. "Help anyone, dragons". They landed back at the group who now had their weapons drawn, and were preparing to attack the smaller of the two dragons that remained.

"Oh, stay yourself, Leon. You know I'm only joking." Lex smiled and danced around him. "Plus, you may need me in a fight. You wouldn't kill me." He casually walked toward the edge of town. "But I suppose you're right... we don't need their belongings. As I said before, it would only weigh us down. Well, shall we leave then?" He sheathed his blade and started to scratch his chin.

J looked up from his book, he wasn't too happy being interrupted. "Look, the basic understanding here is that I was hired by you to take you to the next village. Any extra things you want from me will cost extra. So, if you want this tome, you'll have to buy it from me." J told Julius in a pissed tone. "I also doubt any of you can read the writing on this tome, so it seems useless to even ask." He picked up the bandanna with the tome wrapped in it, and moved it between his body and the rock he was laying against.
Serene sighed heavily and looked over at the two dragons. She wasn't too sure of this. "Eton, we only have one weapon between the two of us, and it's just a dagger." she began to tell him. "I don't think that will be enough if we are alone. Even if it means we have to back in that group, we need to find more people."
Black King could barely see anything in the darkening sky, but was able to get a small glimpse of what looked like the other Pegasus. He headed towards it, hoping it truly was the other Pegasus.

Kevin made a very small squeak as he looked down again. This tree's huge...I should have picked another one... He thought as he looked at the surrounding trees, which were all missing a good amount of leaves. He frowned slightly and got himself into a comfortable position on the tree. What a weird village this was, he could see laying bodies from the tree and smell blood at the height he was at. These weren't good signs, which is the main reason that he decided to stay. The first thing that left the village, he planned to kill, as there was a good sign it was what caused all of these. He took a glance at his quiver, which had a fair amount. These'll last a while if I use them wisely...He looked down and saw small movements. Something was moving, and with that thought in his head, he readied his bow to shoot an arrow. He waited about a minute until a swordsman came into sight, followed by an armored knight. He almost released the arrow, but quickly stopped. Hmm... They don't look strong enough, or evil enough to have done this..He put his arrow back into his quiver and nearly dropped his bow. This caused quite a bit of movement, which didn't worry him much, because he had already decided that they weren't dangerous. He eyed them carefully before deciding whether or not he should go greet them, or even make interaction with them.

(( <.<
Not that.
It's the fact that, too many people in the RP, causes the same problems in groups to happen and make it repeative.
That and the fact that too many people can complicate things.
and too many posts to read.))

OOC: I only read through the ones that are addressed to me or are important to me personally. I mean, it's not like my character has to know what everyone else is doing in their own world. But I sometimes read others because they're cool. I like the battle with the dragons. w00t!
