I tend to think many people who do that, arent very good at the game, and as such, it allows them to have fun with the game without having to worry about losing and such.

Not everybody does that believe it or not. I cant speak for everyone, but i assure you not everyone does that.

That's delicious irony coming from one of the biggest trolls on the forum. However putting that aside I do agree that they shouldn't be doing that online of all places. At home is cool, but cut that out when going into public lobbies.

Actually, it would be cool if Tempo from HarmoKnight played like that. Since it's essentially Runner but as a Nintendo IP.

Oh no, I'm not taking it like that. The biggest issue, as it was said, is that EVERYONE does that. Someone else already mentioned it, and I should've done so myself in the previous post. I don't mind it too much locally because 9/10 times, we're just messing around. And the one time out of ten that we're seriously getting competitive, we're serious and aren't dicks to each other by running away. And I'm not too big on online, just because I can NEVER get it to work.

It's almost a given.

As weird as it might seem, I would almost prefer Sakura Samurai over Takamaru. The character's got a more interesting style, and the counter-based gameplay is just beautiful, and would apply itself perfectly to an assist trophy.

I just had a random thought, would you guys agree to the idea of equipping assist characters, and then summoning them in a fight at will ala Final Fantasy Dissidia? Maybe after attacking/receiving damage, a bar could fill up that you can use to summon your character.

I think this concept could turn out pretty cool if done right.

I think Marvel vs. Capcom tried something similar in the first arcade version, with randomized assist characters, and a limited time for each one's usage.
Overall, it sounds like a good idea, but not necessarily one for Super Smash Bros. Maybe something for another game that shamelessly rips off Smash Bros.

Who says they both can't appear? I, myself, see them both making an appearence in some way, but that's just me.
