To unlock god mode in brawl, you must first unlock all chars, beat story mode with only 1, play event modes to re-lock all stages, re-unlock all stages by re-locking all modes, unlock all modes by re-locking all chars, unlock 1 char of your choosing, lock stagebuilder mode by playing a custom stage with your unlocked char, then re-lock that char with the event mode for it, then format the whole game. by this point your going to forget what you were doing in the first place, so you just go beat some of the hard challenges in the challenge list.
